Letting go of your partner means letting go of an important person in your life and may mean letting go of shared friends, activities and places. •

Bad days - we all have them. 🤷🏻‍♀️ •

Honestly speaking, nobody can stay energized all the time. And it’s okay to feel discouraged sometimes. It’s okay to cry the whole day. It’s okay to feel confused. •

But what is not okay is to think that your life immediately becomes worthless. A bad day becomes a string of really awful days, weeks and months. So many times we get caught up in our thoughts and we lose our compass. Then we easily forget what we achieved so far. We get swallowed up in idea how life is too complicated, how we missed something along the way when the actual reason of us feeling bad is just overthinking about how will our decisions affect our future. •

To conclude, the first step to feeling better, happier, more at peace on a bad days is to accept that you’re having a bad day and allow yourself to have one!

How do you make new friends when you need and want them?

Starting a new job, a relationship, or a family can be challenging to established friendships and may demand new ways of connecting. Research shows a peak in the number of friends during our early 20s, followed by a steady decline as we move into our late 20s.

Making new connections does not have to mean that you are being disloyal to your old friends. Start small. Invite work friends out for lunch, happy hour or over to watch the game. Sometimes the people we're looking to meet are in our own backyards. Have you reached out to your neighbors lately? Have a few conversation starters handy so you always have something to say to kick off a conversation. And most important: If you want to meet new people, don't turn down invitations to social events.
Even if you think the event might not be your thing, take a chance and go anyway. You never know who you'll meet or what connections you might make! 🙂 •
