Lab studies confirmed the nanoemulsion possessed strong antifungal and antioxidant activity, which exceeded free clove EO. The nanoemulsion also sustained the release of the clove EO. Then they evaluated its anti-inflammatory effects in a preclinical model. Marked improvements in CRP (a marker for inflammation) and skin tissue inflammation and restoration were observed. The nanoemulsion formulation enhances clove EO's bioavailability, stability, and therapeutic potential, supporting further development for use as a topical therapy.

Approximately 95% of women enter menopause and then spend about one-third of their lives in the post-menopausal stage. Menopause causes symptoms like hot flashes, vaginal dryness, sleep issues, reduced sexual desire, depression, anxiety, and cognitive decline. A triple-blind clinical trial tested the effects of 80 mg of oral lavender essential oil (about two drops) daily for 60 days. Both the lavender and placebo groups saw significant relief in psychological, physical, vasomotor, anxiety, and depression symptoms, but only the lavender group experienced improved sexual function. This suggests that ingesting lavender oil may enhance sexual health in menopausal women.
