Yesterday, we had a little community get-together over on Instagram:

It turned into a class full of sharing practice, ways of support, my personal story (that I've never shared publicly before) and deeper insights into our role at this time.

🩵 Yep, the point of the Guide for Tough Times isn’t to make you happy again.

… nobody can give you forever happiness (well maybe an ice cream parlour 😉) but I know from my own experience that access to resources can be such a support when life is rough.

🫶🏽So I ask you, for a moment, to list 10 things that are resources for you to access when you are feeling down.

Not necessarily things that will make you happy again, but that will be like a hand on your back. Offering you the feeling that you’re not wrong, that you will be able to navigate this.

💙 We also always include a hug at least once in each of my yoga classes.

💙 Try it even when you don’t feel loving towards yourself. Your body will recognise the gesture. See how it feels for you.

💜Welcome to a 3 week support journey in the new ‘GUIDE FOR TOUGH TIMES’ online course.

Life can be challenging, but with the right support, we can navigate those times with grace and kindness towards ourselves.

When life feels challenging it can be so easy to drop all the selfcare, disappear in endless episodes on Netflix, death scroll on Instagram, binge eat, loop in complaining, or shop online. We have all been there (and sometimes these are necessary, let’s be honest).

❤️ Yet, can there also be a way of moving through tough times without loosing the connection to ourselves? Without dropping ALL the good habits and giving up on ourselves and life?

🌿In this new course, we will look at how you can best support yourself during tough times. So that the next time life is challenging, you will feel more supported, connected and know exactly how you to bring more ease and care to yourself.

⭐In these 3 weeks we will dive into 2 live calls with hands on tried and tested tips as well as practical tasks, followed by a Q&A call in week 3 where you can connect with others and ask questions. By the end of the 3 weeks, you will have a personalised toolbox of resources to turn to whenever life gets tough again.

🪶On top of that you will have access to a course portal filled with resources, including practices and classes, guided meditation, somatic practice, tips on supportive eating during tough times and more. ♥️ This was after yesterday’s Women’s circle

…and it was nourishing, moving, connecting, touching, funny, sad and just so needed.

We are 6 women who have met each month for over 2 years now, going together through life and womanhood.

🖤Have I always been able to enjoy such gatherings?

Well, a few years ago, these kind of gatherings still made me anxious, I often felt wrong, judged my own behaviour and feelings or felt jealous.

🖤Have you ever heard of the sister wound?

Well it’s us having internalised patriarchal structures where there is not enough, where women have to compete, be pretty, the best etc. May ring a bell?

Well, working with this and myself a lot, tending to myself, learning what the jealousy actually wants to convey and how to be with it and let her move me, has been key in my journey.

⭕️Am I completely free of this conditioning today? Nope, but

*I know how to navigate this when it arises
*I know how to get back into my power
*I feel comfortable and no longer wrong in such gatherings
*I do not judge other’s experience anymore

🎃A recipe for you: Autumn pumpkin dish 🎃

The idea for this dish came a few weeks ago and I've since made it 4 times, including for a group of people last week - and it won't be my last time making it for sure.

It's so simple, healthy and moorish and if you're a fan of a little sweet and sour, then this is definitely for you! Enjoy!

🍁Ingredients (for ca 4 people)

1 red onion (can also leave these out) - chopped into fine dices
1 hokkaido pumpkin - chopped into small dices
4-5 apples - chopped into small dices
Applecider vinegar
Maple syrup
Neutral oil
Salt & Pepper

+ Gnocchi or rice
+ toasted walnuts
+ Fresh parsley
+ Sour cream or vegan plain yoghurt (optional)

1. Chop the onions and slowly simmer them on a medium heat in some oil in a pan for around 10 min to bring out the sweetness in them

2. Add the apples and pumpkin dices to the pan and cook on a medium heat stirring frequently

3. Generously splash some applecider vinegar on the mixture, add some dashes of maple syrup and add some high quality salt

4. Let everything simmer until the pumpkin is nice and soft and blended with the apples. That can take around 20 minutes. You may have to add a splash of water if the mixture becomes too dry.

5. Taste the mixture, you may have to add a little more vinegar or maple syrup or salt. You want it all to have a distinct sweet & sour taste. Add pepper (this dish is sooo good with a little extra pepper).

6. Serve with gnocchi, roasted walnuts, fresh parsley and maybe a spoon of sour cream or vegan yoghurt.
