Doula Training 2025-2026

We trust birth, we believe in women and we know deep in our hearts and from experience, that skilled doulawork can lead to change.
In order to do this doula work, we need an empathic community of dedicated doulas to lift the culture around birth.

*WHAT
We have created this course for you to gain the confidence and knowledge necessary to become a doula, so that you can support women in pregnancy and birth. In this doula-training we weave empirical wisdom and modern science together in an intensive education, placing emphasis on our embodied, practical and holistic approach to being doulas.

*HOW
Our signature doula programme is a 8 modules and 16-day in-person comprehensive doula training, in the heart of Copenhagen.
We have included a retreat in nature to nurture our sendes and deepen the work around our relationship to birthh and the personal experience of being born.

*WHO
This doula training is for aspiring and practising doulas, birth workers, and healthcare professionals, rooted in a holistic understanding of birth physiology and psychology.

*WHY
This doula training is unique because it exclusively is created by experienced doulas who together have spend thousand of hours with pregnant and labouring women and new mothers. We wish more doulas learn what we know, because we truely belive that this wosdom can make a positive difference and change the paradigm of birth.

Denne dag åbnede med en optagelses-samtale med en spændende og meget kvalificeret ansøger til vores doulatraining, som starter til november. Men og jeg har åbnet for tilmeldinger, I kan læse mere og ansøge via link i bio og alt det der.

Nå, men det jeg ville fortælle er, at vi talte om værdierne og grundlaget for vores training, om det praktiske og teoretiske vi underviser i og inspirerer til, om jobmuligheder og netværk på den anden side af vores doula training. Om hvilke narrativer om fødsler, risiko, kvindekroppen og moderskabet som den nye studerende (🤞) bringer med sig fra sin opvækst og kultur Alt sammen meget relevant og spændende.

Jeg gik i skoven med morgenøjne mens vi talte og lige inden hun ringede, fandt jeg denne smukke fjer.
Vores mantra er: "Want to change the paradigm of birth? Give wings to your doula dreams". Og jeg synes det er den stærkeste bekræftelse på at både hun, jeg og vi er på en vigtig mission.

Nu nyder jeg en kop macha i havens sol mellem sommerfugle og blomster, larmende børn og smukke teenagere, mens jeg fordyber mig i den her bog, som elskede Tara Ravn gav mig i vinters, da jeg var noget mindre håbefuld og energisk end nu.

Håb er en aktiv handling!

The presence of a doula have been found to reduce

❤️ cesarean section frequency
❤️ low birth weight
❤️ premature labour

- which leads to better health outcomes for mother and child.

The presence of a doula has also been correlated with

❤️ decrease in the need of epidual
❤️ increase breastfeeding rates

The advocacy doulas provide can increase well-being and satisfaction concerning the birthing process.

Doulas are needed more than ever to help change birth outcomes and to bring more love, trust and joy to childbirth❤️

We are open for applications to our next Copenhagen Doulas doula training.
A handful of spots are already been booked and we are so grateful🙏
Our hearts are full of experience from our previous training and years of doula experience, we are so ready to share with more of you.

In our training, we want to educate and inspire doulas, with emphasis on how you as a certified doula can offer support in pregnancy, labour and early postpartum.

The intention of our training is to:

♡ offer substantial education from the five modular pillars of the training: Informational support, Physical support,
Emotional support,
Embodied support,
Professional support.

♡ inspire and train you to become a doula so you can guide and support primarily the pregnant and labouring woman, but also to provide education, quality care and support to a partner.

♡ educate and inspire doulas to support families in every possible setting for birth, such as homebirth, hospital birth, birth clinic etc.

♡ motivate self enquiry, embodied knowledge and the cultivation of conscious leadership which we consider essential for being a doula and birth professional.

Det er på høje tid Danmark og resten af den menneskelige verden officielt anerkender Palæstina og sætter sig imod folkemord, samt naturligvis stopper med at financiere et sådant.

Sådan er vi ikke som folk, men sådan bliver vi når vi i stilhed lader det ske.

Vi er langt forbi debat, der er ikke noget at diskutere her, der er kun folkemord eller ej.

Der er ikke mere tid, der er ikke flere ord, det er nu! Børnene og en hel befolkning dør af sult for øjnene af os. Vi ved det, allesammen.

Jeg nægter at lade det ske med min stiltiende accept. Jeg tager på det kraftigste afstand fra stiltiende accept og det er heller ikke i mit navn at politikere lader dette ske dag efter dag efter dag...

Statsminister og udenrigsminister det er nu I har muligheden for, for alvor at gøre en meningsfuld forskel i jeres liv. Red børnene, red fremtiden. Bryd medskyldighedens forbandelse og vælg det eneste rigtige.

Den grimmeste del af vores historie er ikke de ting vi er uenige om, den grimmeste del er den vi lader som om slet ikke finder sted.
