Ji Wonflé (snoring juice in kwéyòl) The transfer of indigenous traditional remedial herbal culture is as simple as this little, but invaluable exchange between my dad and I. Nevertheless, the country is in dire need of extensive research and formalisation of our herbal culture.

We cannot allow such a golden piece of who we are melt away. Our health and wellness as a nation was heavily reliant on this traditional medicines. Maybe we need to take a “fèy” (leaf) from the lifestyles of those who came before us.

Banana plants can be planted around a circular pit. It acts as a central compost for mulch and a moisture provider for them.
