We were incredibly proud to sponsor and host Waitucirque's first Circus Festival and Show here at Caapi. Dominica's first ever Circus Festival was a resounding success! The young performers and creatives came together and inspired, taught, connected, played, supported, performed and dazzled the crowds! They were on FIRE! Literally!

Big Kudos and much gratitude to all the other sponsors, collaborators, supporters, volunteers, friends and family who helped make their vision a reality. Waitucirque collaborated with other arts organizations including Waitukubuli Artist Association, Mission Improvable Improv Troupe and SoundWave.

The newest members of the CaapiCottage family! Introducing Murphy and Molly. That’s the names my mother gave them. he is six years old. She is 30 they will likely live to 50 to 80 years old. adding a little bit of longevity to the land.

Hurricane Beryl update from Caapi Cottages: Thank you everyone for your concern. We had no damage at Caapi Cottages. Dominica had lots of rain and some damage from large waves on the west cost. As the hurricane passed south and west of Dominica there was some damage to costal communities, but nothing like Maria in 2017. That is what Grenada just experienced and it is not looking good for Jamaica. Jamaica will need support and compassion as will we all. Yes this is the new reality of climate collapse, the ocean temperatures are very high for this time of year. We are expecting many more storms to come.

Our daughter Sahara Sky and Gabrielle Agar and their team have joined forces with the Dominica Olympic Committee, The Dominica Amateur Swim Association and Soufriere Outdoor Center to offer an amazing 7-week summer camp in Dominica; Safe Waves Swim Camp. Each 2-week session will guide participants through swimming lessons, essential First Aid Skills training, marine stewardship, ocean kayaking, coral reef restoration, with guest speakers and more! Safe Waves Swim camp is FREE for all participants, and transportation is provided daily from Roseau to Soufriere, along with all equipment and snacks. The program aims to enhance coastal community safety by teaching essential skills to reduce water-related accidents. This project is funded by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI).
