Turmeric has been used to promote health for thousands of years.
It is used for arthritis, heartburn, stomach pain, diarrhea, intestinal gas, stomach bloating, loss of appetite, jaundice, liver problems and gallbladder disorders.
Also for headache, bronchitis, colds, lung infections, fibromyalgia, leprosy, fever, menstrual problems and cancer. Depression, Alzheimer's, water retention, worms and kidney problems.
It can be applied to the skin for pain, ringworm, bruising,leech bites, eye infections, inflammatory skin conditions and infected wounds.
It extremely well studied and I find it an amazing plant. The active substance is curcumin.
It's bioavailability is enhanced by taking it with a fat, I like to use coconut or olive oil. Also take with piperine found in black pepper. Which has a bunch of health benefits in its self.
Quercetin can also help absorption. This flavonoid can be found in many plants and foods such as capers, onions, citrus fruits and fruits with a dark red or blue hue.

I like to use turmeric to stay healthy.
