After advertising on FB the sale of one of our farms I got a some concerned inquiries if we are closing our farming operations and leaving the country.
After more than 30 years of farming bio-dynamically and exporting, we; Annelien and myself are now over 80, and many of our associates and co-workers have reached retirement age, without any successors in sight. Our main stay, the Banana export has been lost do to quality problems and competition of large producers. We operate on three different locations, and try to sell 2 of the Fincas while maintaining our 60 Ha home farm, mainly a Mango orchard, with some bananas and a cowherd. Our Waldorf school on the finca, with over 120 children, is central to our hearts which we hope to maintain as long as possible.
