In our sacred plant medicine retreats, you will have the opportunity to explore the self and understand the true nature of your reality. The plant medicines are known to cleanse the mind, body, and spirit and are healing both physically and emotionally. The master plants are here to assist you on your journey to begin the inner-work, to expand your consciousness, and to re-connect to all that is. This will be a unique opportunity to sit with and learn about ancient practices in a serene, tropical oasis in coastal Ecuador. The experience is a retreat - meaning a time to withdraw from your everyday reality to reflect and bring more intention into your consciousness. During this time of retreat, we will work to reorganize all the dimensions of our being into one direction - including our body, mind, emotion, and energy.

San Pedro Nature Walk

Did you know that some of our retreats include a San Pedro power walk? This is a ceremonial walk in nature, connecting with the master plant of San Pedro with our main altar, Mother Earth. It is a gentle walk, the ‘power’ is more about the ceremony of the walk, and connecting with your power within, your inner nature, and nature around you.

The walk is a special ceremony that we always enjoy sharing with our retreat participants. We also share the medicine of San Pedro around the fire at night, depending on the retreat.

Our San Pedro retreat has one San Pedro power walk and night ceremony, along with a ceremony of Ayahuasca. We have spaces available! Contact us for more information.

Food is not a side detail of the retreat - it’s part of the journey.

Throughout the week at Ayllu Medicina, we nourish you with three daily meals that are both delicious and deeply supportive, prepared for you so you can fully rest into the experience. Our food is local, plant-based, vegan, gluten-free and made entirely from whole foods, including thoughtfully prepared Ecuadorian specialties.

Every meal is designed to support digestion and energy, using fresh seasonal ingredients sourced with care. For many guests, the food becomes a true highlight of the week—not only for how good it tastes, but for how good it feels in the body.

Many people have even requested a cookbook, which is on the way!

Music recording….

Giving so much thanks to Ezra, Mason, & Justin, who helped us record some songs in our sacred maloka- also capturing the essence of the nights around the fire and all the nature that we are fortunate to have around us.

Stay tuned for more sharing soon! The video is from a final jam together to end the night. Whether you are a musician or have never sang / picked up an instrument - there is opportunity to connect with the medicine of music at retreats. Music also is an integral part to all our ceremonies.

One of the most important parts of retreat happens the day after each ceremony.

In our sharing circles, we take time to share the pearls of our night with the plant medicine, hear insight from our guides, and integrate slowly. By allowing some of our pearls and lessons to be shared, we support each other in the process of shedding and remembering our essence. We witness each other and learn, together.

This is how the medicine continues working with us throughout our journey.

Cold immersion is one of the purification practices we bring to every retreat, where you have the chance to focus on your breath, presence, and trust in your mental strength.

As part of our Detox & Purification Retreats, ice baths support the process of release, reset, and realignment, held within a ceremonial container alongside other cleansing practices.

Thank you…

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our New Year Detox Retreat! It was a reunion of many past participants, friends, and new hearts around the fire, coming together in community for a transformative week together.

Thank you so much for leading the yoga and for connecting so many of us around the fire. It is always a blessing to reunite each year! And thank you for all the live music, and to all the talented musicians who joined us and shared their gifts.

It was a week of releasing, aligning, and connecting with the sincerity of our hearts. We shared two ayahuasca ceremonies, a San Pedro power walk ceremony in nature, sweat lodges, daily yoga, detox sessions led by Hwaneetah and Vanessa , a shamanic drum journey, cold plunges, games, and more!

Thank you for all the trust in Ayllu Medicina, for the work, the joy, the sharing, and for the family we made during this week. We can’t wait to see where your adventures take you next. And to reunite around this fire again!
