Eye contact is a type of body language that is extremely important during communication and conversation. It is a fundamental part of human social interaction.
Video calling is a great way to see the facial expressions and gestures of your call and it can even help calm your older loved ones, because they can see at all times who they are talking to.
Small example from life itself: during the testing period of our app, many family members said that they some times had to reidentify themselves in the middle of a phone call, but that stopped when their older family members could see them via video.

Eye contact is a fundamental part of human social interaction. Maintaining eye contact with someone you are talking to displays interest and tells them „you are important and I am actively listening.“ It can also make older people feel secure as they can see who they are talking to.
