I*t's almost like meme pages are run by people who've been THROUGH IT.
I know some of you little s**ts are starting their college days this month. I will be harsh.
Remember, you're in college to gain skills that will eventually make you some money. Don't study just to pass, but study to learn. Unless it's a liberal arts class that's nowhere related to your course, just aim to pass that subject.
If you have a gut feeling that the course you've taken is not for you, just shift. There's no shame spending extra years in college just because you've found a program that resonates with you.
At the end of the day, there's always a chance that your degree will not be even related to your first job, and that's okay. What's important is that you will have the core skills and foundation to help you find and get a job and eventually make money from it.
You must learn how to be more nuanced. Everyone in college comes from all walks of life. You need to try and learn what things are like in their perspective, and reserve your judgment, no matter how stupid it sounds.
Go to parties, get drunk s**t-faced, but never ever fu***ng do drugs or join pathetic fraternities promising you "family" who look down on people and practice nepotism.
You will definitely be in love and get your heart broken at the same time. Don't wallow in sadness and cheap pancit canton. Walk somewhere to clear your mind, and get back to doing acads. He'll/She'll just be a chapter in your book.
Always use a fu***ng condom and never ever do it raw. Don't listen to "alpha males" and "girlbosses" because in reality, you're a middle income little s**t whose parents still work 9-6 every work day just to give your weekly allowance. You're unemployed and did not invest in bitcoin in 2016. There is a reason why people in their 20s who have jobs don't want to have kids right now because the economy is not in their favor.
Don't give in to the FOMO even if it costs money. Start a habit of saving. Or even better, get a part-time job, even if your parents are against it. If your parents get mad, just show good results in your academics and tell them that you love them, and you're learning how to be independent.
And most importantly, enjoy it as much as you can. Your collegiate days are your days of discovery. Be stupid, and learn from the stupid things you've done. Have fun.
