✨ A full house, inspiring discussions, and a look into Estonia’s future!

Yesterday, November 4, 2025, AmCham Estonia proudly hosted its 20th Annual Meeting with the Prime Minister of Estonia, Mr. Kristen Michal, at the beautiful Swissôtel Tallinn — one of our most anticipated flagship events of the year. 🇪🇪

Members and partners had the exclusive opportunity to hear directly from the Prime Minister about Estonia’s current economic outlook, government priorities, and long-term vision.
During his keynote address, Mr. Michal touched on vital topics including budget priorities, bureaucracy reduction, and national defense, offering valuable insights into the government’s focus for the coming year.

The interactive Q&A session that followed sparked meaningful dialogue, giving participants a chance to engage personally with the Prime Minister and share perspectives from the business community.

The event concluded with a festive two-course lunch, creating a relaxed atmosphere for networking, new connections, and continued conversation.

AmCham Women in Leadership Delegation Visits JOIK Eesti – From One Woman’s Dream to a Global Brand

The AmCham Women in Leadership delegation had the privilege of visiting the production site of JOIK Eesti, an Estonian brand that has grown from a small home-based venture into an internationally recognized name in natural cosmetics and home spa products.

Founded in 2005 by Eva-Maria Õunapuu, JOIK began as one woman’s creative pursuit and has since blossomed into a powerful example of how passion, perseverance, and purpose can shape a globally admired business. Inspired by Estonia’s nature, JOIK is built on the values of effectiveness, honesty, naturalness, and emotional connection—principles that continue to guide every product and every decision.

During the visit, the delegation had the unique opportunity to see firsthand how JOIK’s beloved products are created, from sourcing natural ingredients to the meticulous production process that ensures the brand’s consistent quality. The behind-the-scenes experience highlighted the brand’s commitment not only to beauty and well-being but also to sustainability and authenticity.

A highlight of the event was meeting Eva-Maria Õunapuu, who shared her inspiring entrepreneurial journey—from experimenting with candle-making in her kitchen to leading an internationally distributed brand. Eva-Maria spoke candidly about the challenges and triumphs of growing JOIK, the company’s evolving strategy, and the importance of staying true to one’s values while expanding globally.

The visit left participants deeply inspired by JOIK Eesti’s story and by Eva-Maria’s example of visionary, values-driven leadership. Her journey serves as a reminder that great ideas, when nurtured with passion and integrity, can flourish far beyond their beginnings.

Yesterday, AmCham Estonia held its Fall Edition of the C-Suite Briefing, graciously hosted by META Advisory. This exclusive gathering brought together senior executives for a timely and insightful discussion on the outcome of the recent local elections and their potential impact on the business and investment climate in Estonia.

The conversation was expertly led by Andreas Kaju, Managing Partner at META Advisory, whose in-depth political analysis set the tone for a dynamic and thought-provoking session. Providing valuable perspectives from within Tallinn’s leadership, Deputy Mayors Karl Sander Kase (Pro Patria/ Isamaa erakond) and Kaarel Oja (Sotsiaaldemokraatlik Erakond) joined the discussion to share their reflections on the election results, governance priorities, and the city’s approach to fostering a competitive and sustainable business environment.

The event offered a rare opportunity for C-level leaders to engage directly with policymakers and political experts in an intimate, off-the-record setting.
