With my dear brother, friend, and colleague — Dr. Omer Amen, former First Lieutenant in the Sudanese Military Forces and one of the finest men I’ve ever met.
Since the day I arrived in Saudi Arabia (or maybe even since I was born), I haven’t met someone as genuine, loyal, and supportive as this man.
We may both be ex-military and dentists now, but more importantly, we’re brothers in arms and in life.
Words will never do justice to the honor of knowing you, Omer.
May your name always reflect the truth you live by — Amen in word, deed, and heart.

غسلونى من مياه النيل قبل اى شيىء ..
كفنونى بنسيج من قطن الارض الطيبه
وادفنونى فى ثراها الذى نبت فيه كى ترتاح عظامى المجهده ...
نال منى المرض والترحال فى بلاد المعرفه ...
وانفقت ايامى لارفع راسها بين الامم ... سخرت علمى لاقهر المرض ...
وعكفت كالراهب فى معملى ...
نال منى المرض مبتغاه وانتصر ...
لكن نبراسى سيظل ساطعا ...
وفوق قبرى سينبت برعم وافر الخضره موفور النماء ...
اذكرونى كلما نما على ارضها نبت جديد .
اذكرونى ثم ترحموا ...
