Vigro Copper (Cu-fulvate): Mohamed Helal’s Innovation in Eco-Friendly Copper Nutrition

By Mohamed Helal
Vice Chairman – Business & Innovation, Gizatec
Founder of the Protective Nutrition concept

🌍 Rethinking Copper for Sustainable Agriculture
Copper is a vital micronutrient in plant physiology, playing essential roles in enzyme activation, lignin formation, chlorophyll synthesis, and above all, in supporting a plant’s innate immune system. However, conventional copper fertilizers and fungicides — such as copper sulfate or copper hydroxide — come with serious environmental drawbacks:

Poor nutrient use efficiency
Toxic accumulation in soils
Harm to beneficial soil microbes
High residues on crops and runoff risks to water bodies
To address these challenges, Gizatec introduces a clean and effective solution:

✅ Vigro Copper (Cu-fulvate) — a scientifically advanced, eco-smart formulation engineered by Mohamed Helal to deliver highly bioavailable copper while preserving soil health and microbial balance.
🔬 What Is Cu-fulvate?

Cu-fulvate is a complex of copper chelated with fulvic acids — low molecular weight organic compounds with powerful chelating and transport abilities. Fulvic acids improve copper’s:

Solubility across soil pH ranges
Root and foliar absorption
Mobility within plant tissues
Safety for the soil microbiome
Compared to traditional salts, Cu-fulvate has been shown to offer higher nutrient efficiency with significantly lower toxicity, as supported by peer-reviewed agronomic studies (Chen et al., 2004; Rauthan & Schnitzer, 1981).

🛡️ Protective Nutrition: A Science-Driven Philosophy

Protective Nutrition, developed by Mohamed Helal, is a next-generation approach that:

Strengthens plant defenses naturally
Supports balanced fertilization strategies
Preserves beneficial microbes in the rhizosphere
Reduces dependency on harmful agrochemicals
Vigro Copper (Cu-fulvate) exemplifies this philosophy by acting as both a nutrient and a shield — proactively reinforcing plant immunity while minimizing environmental burden.

🌿 Replacing Harmful Copper Sprays

While copper-based crop protection products are still widely used to manage bacterial and fungal diseases, they often:

Require high application rates
Leave visible residues
Accumulate in soil over time
Vigro Copper may reduce — and in some integrated programs, eliminate — the need for conventional copper fungicides.
By supplying copper in its most efficient and plant-accessible form, Vigro Copper helps activate systemic acquired resistance (SAR) and supports plants in naturally fending off pathogens like Pseudomonas, Xanthomonas, and Fusarium.

🌱 Broad-Spectrum Crop Benefits

Vigro Copper (Cu-fulvate) has demonstrated excellent results across a wide range of crops:

Vegetables: Reduced foliar disease, improved nutrient density
Corn: Better root architecture, reduced fungal stalk infections
Olive trees: Healthier canopy, lower incidence of leaf spot and anthracnose
Citrus: Improved peel structure, stronger resistance to bacterial canker
Grapes: Enhanced vine vigor, protection from powdery mildew
Date palms: Strengthened resistance to Fusarium and improved growth under stress
🔬 Scientifically Validated, Field Proven

Developed under the direction of Mohamed Helal, renowned soil scientist and ecopreneur
Tested and validated in diverse environments — Egypt, China, the Gulf region, and beyond
Supports global movement toward regenerative and residue-free agriculture

🌎 Clean Copper for the Future

Vigro Copper (Cu-fulvate) redefines the role of copper in agriculture — from a reactive fungicide to a proactive immune-support nutrient. It offers farmers a way to grow stronger, cleaner crops with fewer chemical inputs and lower environmental risk.

At Gizatec, we believe this is the future of responsible agriculture — and it starts with intelligent, science-backed formulations like Vigro Copper.
