Sistrunk operation for a recurrent thyroglossal cyst

12 years old boy presenting with a midline nexk swelling that is mobile with deglutition and tongue protrusion .

He was managed previously only by excision of the cyst which lead to recurrence as the central part of the hyoid bone was left behind .

Approach was through the previous scar, removal of the cyst was done together with the central part of the hyoid bone.
