The incubation period is 6 to 13 days (range 5 to 21 days).
A person is not contagious during this period.

أعراض المرض
👌Constitutional symptoms (FAHM ) fever, headache, Malaise, Anorexia
👌Lymphadenopathy
👌Anorectal pain
👌Characteristic skin rash
بييدأ في صورة macule وبعدين تبقي papule ثم تقلب umbilicated pustule وبعدين تعمل scale وتقشر
فهو يشبه حاجات كتير
علشان كده بيقسموا الحالات الي
👌1- حالات مشتبه فيها suspected case
ده اي عيان عنده طفح جلدي ومش عارفين سببه
+ عرض أو اتنين من الآتي
👉Fever
👉Lymphadenopathy
👉Fatigue
👉Headache
👉Bone or muscle pain
👌2_ حالات محتمله
دي نفس الحاله المشتبهه الي فوق
+ واحد أو اتنين من الآتي
👉History of travel to an area where there's is an outbreak
👉History of contact with confirmed case
👉History of multiple sexual relationship on the past 21 days
👌3_ حاله مؤكده confirmed case
عليها الأعراض وتم تأكيد الاصابه ب ال PCR

👉CBC changes in monkey pox
may show leukocytosis, lymphocytosis, thrombocytopenia
👉Tests for STDs في الجماعه إياهم
👉Blood culture if secondery bacterial infection is suspected

Prevention
Vaccine for Monkeypox (JYNNEOS vaccine)
Given for high risk populations e.g family or partner of positive patients or in countries of monkeypox outbreak (Under Emergency use Authorization)
Regimen: Standard SC / Alternate ID
*Standard regimen: for people 18yrs
2 doses with 28days apart injected Intradermal (0.1 ml)
peak immunity after 14 days from 2nd dose but duration of immunity still unknown

Prognosis
Most cases are usually mild and self-limiting, and most patients will recover within 2 to 4 weeks without treatment.
More than 90% of survivors have no complications
Severe or complicated disease and death occurs more commonly in younger children and immunocompromised people.
