Vitiligo international symposium (VIS) is an international event that is held in a different country each time. This year, it was hosted by Egypt for the first time. This remarkable gathering brought together numerous experts dedicated to advancing research on vitiligo. I was honored to share in it by a presentation and a poster about 2 clinical studies and a workshop about a special surgical technique in treating vitiligo. The surgery workshop was held in our department at Ain Shams University as part of this symposium. I am really honored to be part of the team lead by Professor Dr Marwa Abdallah, being mentored, guided and trained by her well distinguished expertise. Her thoughts, insights and most importantly her unique perseverance were crucial for us to establish such a distinguished presence on an international stage.
