By the beginning of 2012, I had offered a DVM job from the AHRI, ARC, Egypt as one of the top 20 graduates from the faculty of veterinary medicine back in 2003. I accepted the offer and officially received my job duties in March 15, 2012. In order to join the researcher committee of the AHRI institute, I applied for a Master’s degree at Benha University, Department of Microbiology in September, 2012. Because of my passion for both microbiology and molecular biology, I finally decided to get my research in a molecular microbiology discipline so my thesis was titled “ Rapid Diagnosis of Staphylococcus aureus in Poultry by Real-time PCR”. Abdelhalim Elshawadfy published a research paper titled “Detection Of Species-Specific Gene Thermonuclease (Nuc) In Staphylococcus Aureus From Chickens By Real- Time PCR Assay” on Benha Veterinary Medical Journal. Finally awarded my master degree in Microbiology, Specialty in bacteriology, mycology and immunology in December 28, 2014. I applied for a Ph.D. in Microbiology in March 15, 2015. In order to fullfil my passion about molecular microbiology and public health, I had chosen my research topic to be “Molecular Diagnosis of Foodborne Pathogen in Meat by Qualitative Multiplex PCR”
Successfully completed my research on that subject and published my paper titled “Detection of some foodborne pathogens in meat by Duplex PCR” on Bioscience Research Journal. My Doctor Of Philosophy degree has been awarded in December 1, 2020. ELSHAWADFY ASCP CERTIFICATION JOURNEY

Always hate routine! Everyday I’m looking for a new challenge in my life, new goals and new achievements. Back in 2018, I decided to get nominated by the most prestigious organization in the field of clinical pathology, ASCP. I defined my certification goals and designed my self-study plan. I was qualified for MLS ASCP certificate though ROUTE 4, International Medical Laboratory Scientist.

AND five years of acceptable clinical*** experience in an accredited/approved laboratory. Experience must include blood banking (immunohematology), chemistry, hematology, and microbiology, ASCP BOC, MLS ASCP Route 4". Ischeduled my exam on November 8th, 2020 and successfully passed from the first setting. Alhamdulillah, Praise GOD! Is it enough, nope! Let’s look for a new challenge! SM ASCP Specialist in Microbiology Certification, The 47th Internationally Certified! Being granted a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology late in Dec 1st, 2020, I figured out that am qualified for ASCP Specialist in Microbiology certification via Route 4. Oh my God, let’s do it!
