It was an unforgettable experience to run an organizational art therapy workshop at the Methanex plant in Damietta with 90 attendees between plant workers, engineers and management.

I was inspired by the amazing creative expression that took place during the workshop and I was very grateful for the gift offered to me by one of the attendees: the drawing seen in the last image which depicted the group setting and myself running the workshop… a heartwarming gesture!

Thank you Methanex Corporation for yet another wonderful experience and for putting your employers wellbeing as a top priority!

Had the genuine pleasure to be part of the National Arts in Health Week Egypt .egypt panel talk about the advantages of Arts in Health while shedding light on clinical and non-clinical uses of art therapy.
I was honored to be among the presence of psychiatry pioneers in Egypt as a co-panelist and of course to be part of this event at the esteemed while finally getting to spend much needed quality time with the one and only Dr. Mona Rakhawy.

I would like to thank everyone who was behind the planning of this event. Special thanks to for her trailblazing efforts.

It brings me great joy to finally unveil the very first textbook about Art Therapy in the Arab world edited by Sara Powell.

I was honored to contribute a chapter about Egypt titled “Developing Art Psychotherapy in Post-2011 Egypt: Applying Art Therapy Techniques in Inpatient Addiction Units & Adult Private Practice”.

In my chapter, I get to shed light on Art Therapy’s development in Egypt and its historical evolution within the past few decades.

I’m also very grateful for this textbook to finally shed light on the field’s development in many neighboring Arab nations. Big shout-out to all my colleagues who also contributed with their writing!

The books is available on Kindle and in print.

From this summer’s Employee Wellness Program organized by at Boubyan Takaful & Boubyan Bank in Kuwait City.
As part of their partnership together, a series of corporate mental health workshops were offered on-site to enhance mental wellbeing among employees.
