Erythrophoresis (removal of red cells) for cases of sickle cell anemia (sickling crisis) is also done in our unit .Done in one session with decrease of Hb S from 85 % to 20 % .

Leucocyte reduction is done to a patient with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The white blood cells dropped from 240 000/ cmm to
131 000 in one session. And this help the patient to get her oral medication after the burden of lymphocytes removed. The pink layer in the photo is the buffy coat of white blood cells.
