The normative values used in the Neuro-MEP.NET software are based on the patient's age because children and adults have different anatomical and physiological characteristics, including the nervous system.

When examining nerve conduction in children, it's important to consider that not only do children's norms differ from those for adults, they also change based on the child's age. A study conducted by the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, USA, has shown that there are differences in amplitude, nerve conduction velocity, and sensory distal latency between six different age groups under the same conditions.

To apply the correct normative values, the clinician needs to enter the patient's date of birth into the patient's card in Neuro-MEP.NET. After that, the software will automatically calculate the results of the examination and compare them with the norms for the patient's age.

TMS is used to treat a wide range of mental health disorders and health problems, including major depressive disorder, migraine headaches, and tinnitus. TMS treatment differs depending on the illness being treated, because different parts of the brain need to be targeted different frequency depending on the illness.

Over the past 10 to 15 years, scientific studies proved the effectiveness of TMS for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Today, we are pleased to announce that the OCD treatment protocol included in Neurosoft magnetic stimulators' software has been approved by the FDA.
