For the third consecutive year, AstraZeneca Egypt was honored to participate in Africa Health ExCon, highlighting Egypt’s continued leadership in healthcare innovation. This year, we brought our health equity strategy to life through four impactful panels.

During the Healthy Heart Africa Panel, we joined forces with the Ministry of Health to launch Egypt’s national strategy for chronic kidney disease management—an important step forward in our efforts against noncommunicable diseases. At the Cancer Care Africa Panel, experts explored collaborative and digital solutions to shape the future of cancer care across the continent.

Our Transforming Lupus Care Panel brought together prominent stakeholders, national leaders and advocates to highlight the significant impact of lupus and how we are working to transform care for lupus patients in Egypt. In the Innovative Financing Panel, industry leaders and CSR experts discussed creative, sustainable models that support system resilience and drive progress in healthcare.

Visitors to our sustainability-focused booth experienced the Egypt Health Innovation Hub initiatives firsthand, seeing how we are driving change through continuous innovation.

تعلن الجمعية المصرية لأمراض القلب بالتعاون مع شركه أسترازينيكا مصر عن إطلاق برنامج طبى فى صورة حلقات علمية تنافسية تحت إسم Cardio-Renal Cup بين مجموعات من الأطباء فى تخصصات القلب والكلى والسكرى والباطنة على مستوى جميع المستشفيات فى مصر (وزارة صحة وجامعات ومعاهد وتأمين صحي والشرطة والجيش والخاص)،
تركز المسابقة على تحفيز المشتركين علي التنافس لتقديم معلومات طبية حديثة وأدوات تشخيص وعلاج ومتابعة أفضل لحالات المرضي المصابين بمتلازمة القلب والكلي،

كما يهدف البرنامج إلى تعزيز مفهوم الفريق الطبي المتعدد التخصصات علي مستوى جميع المستشفيات،
مع العلم أن المسابقة تدار في شكل تصفيات تنافسية تصاعدية بين الفرق الممثلة للمستشفيات المتقدمة تحت إشراف نخبة من أساتذة القلب والكلى فى مصر،

The Egyptian Society of Cardiology, in cooperation with AstraZeneca Egypt, announces the launch of a medical program in the form of competitive scientific seminars, entitled “Cardio-Renal Cup”, The Cardiology Challenge between groups of doctors specializing in cardiology, kidney, diabetes, and internal medicine, open for all hospitals in Egypt (Ministry of Health, universities, institutes, health insurance, police, army, and private hospitals).
The competition focuses on motivating participants to compete to provide up-to-date medical information and tools for better diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with cardio-renal disease.
The program also aims to promote the concept of a multidisciplinary medical team across all hospitals. The competition is held in the form of a competitive qualifiers format among teams who are representing the competing hospitals, and it will be under the supervision of a selected group of cardiology and nephrology professors in Egypt.
The winning team will receive a training opportunity at a center of excellence outside Egypt, provided by the Egyptian Society of Cardiology.

انضم الشباب والشابات من برنامج "صحة الشباب" التابع لأسترازينيكا، والذي تقوم بتنفيذه هيئة بلان انترناشيونال ايجيبت في “المؤتمر الخامس لرفاهية المراهقين في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا” الذي عُقد في مكتبة الإسكندرية العريقه، تحت رعاية معالى الوزير الاستاذ الدكتور احمد فؤاد هنو وزير الثقافه و جامعة الدول العربيه لتعزيز الاستثمار فى مجالات رفاهة و صحة المراهقين، بحضور 192 خبيراً وباحثاً وعالماً شاركوا في المؤتمر من 43 دولة مختلفة ومثلوا 12 منظمة إقليمية ودولية.
و جاء ذلك كفرصة ذهبية يمنحها البرنامج لهم للتعبير عن رؤيتهم ودورهم المحوري في الوقاية من الأمراض غير المٌعدية. هذا الحدث أتاح للشباب مساحة للتأثير وإثبات أن صوتهم قادر على إحداث فارق حقيقي.عبر مشاركاتهم الفنية وسرد تجاربهم من قلب مجتمعاتهم، قدموا نموذجاً يُحتذى به عن اهمية المثابرة على العمل و تغيير مستقبلهم و صحتهم للافضل ، ومدى تأثير جهودهم حين تكون نابضة بالشغف و المعرفه نحو مستقبل افضل لهم و لمجتمعهم.
Youth participants from the "Young Health Programme" (YHP), implemented by Plan International Egypt in collaboration with AstraZeneca, took part in the “5th Adolescent Wellbeing Conference in the MENA Region,” held at the historic Bibliotheca Alexandrina. The event was organized under the patronage of His Excellency, Professor Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hennawy, Minister of Culture, and the League of Arab States to promote investment in adolescent health and wellbeing. The conference brought together 192 experts, researchers, and scientists from 43 countries, representing 12 regional and international organizations.

This remarkable opportunity allowed the youth to express their vision and highlight their pivotal role in preventing non-communicable diseases. The event provided a platform for young people to make an impact and demonstrate that their voices can drive meaningful change. Through their artistic contributions and storytelling, rooted in the realities of their communities, they presented a model of perseverance and determination, showcasing how their passion and knowledge can transform their futures and health for the better. Their efforts stand as a testament to the power of youth-driven change towards a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

بنسمع كتير كلمة لوكيميا أو سرطان الدم ..
لكن هل نعرف يعني إيه سرطان الدم الليمفاوي المزمن ؟ ويعني إيه مزمن ؟
وليه وإزاي يكون المريض مصاب بالسرطان .. ومع ذلك مايكونش مقرر له أي علاجات سريعة ؟
