اختتمت وزارة الصحة والسكان بالتعاون مع منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر آخر دورة من سلسلة الدورات التدريبية لفرق الاستجابة السريعة على مستوى المحافظات، بدعم من صندوق الجوائح.

شارك نحو 270 متدربًا من جميع المحافظات في هذه السلسلة من الدورات التدريبية، التي بدأت في يوليو 2025 واختُتمت هذا الأسبوع.

زود التدريب المشاركين بالمهارات اللازمة لإدارة الطوارئ الصحية العامة بفعالية وتوحيد إجراءات الاستجابة في جميع المحافظات.

تُسهم هذه السلسلة التدريبية في تعزيز التنسيق والتواصل وجاهزية فرق الاستجابة السريعة الميدانية على مستوي جميع المحافظات، بما يضمن التحرك السريع لحماية المجتمعات من التهديدات الصحية العامة ضمن نهج الصحة الواحدة الذي يربط بين صحة الإنسان والحيوان والبيئة.

The Ministry of Health and Population, in collaboration with WHO Egypt, concluded the final round of a series of training sessions for the rapid response teams, with support from the Pandemic Fund.

Around 270 participants from all 27 governorates completed the training series, which started in July 2025 and concluded this week.

The training equipped participants with the skills needed to effectively manage public health emergencies and standardize response procedures across the country.

This training series strengthens coordination, communication, and field readiness, ensuring timely action to protect communities from public health threats, under a One Health approach, which connects human, animal, and environmental health.

Family history of increases the risk of breast cancer, but most women diagnosed with breast cancer don't have a known family history of the disease.

Other risk factors for developing breast cancer:

🩷postmenopausal hormone therapy
🩷limited physical activity

Over 90% of breast cancer cases are self-detected in those who do not undergo regular mammography screening. So, breast self-examination is always encouraged.

التاريخ العائلي للإصابة بسرطان الثدي يزيد من خطر الإصابة بهذا النوع من السرطان، لكن معظم النساء اللواتي كشف التشخيص عن إصابتهن بسرطان الثدي ليس لديهن تاريخ عائلي معروف للمرض. عدم وجود تاريخ معروف للإصابة في الأسرة لا يعني بالضرورة أن المرأة معرضة لخطر أقل.

أكثر من 90% من حالات سرطان الثدي تُكتَشَف ذاتيًا لدى أولئك اللائي لا يخضعن للفحص بالتصوير الشعاعي للثدي بانتظام. لذلك، نشجع دائمًا على الفحص الذاتي للثدي.

بالتعاون مع قسم الميكروبيولوجيا الطبية والمناعة بكلية الطب في جامعة عين شمس، شاركت منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر طلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس الاحتفال بأسبوع الوقاية من العدوى لعام 2025 من خلال يوم توعوي مجتمعي تحت شعار "الوقاية من العدوى المجتمعية".

شارك الطلاب في أنشطة وألعاب تفاعلية تهدف إلى رفع الوعي حول الوقاية من العدوى وأهمية حماية أنفسهم ومجتمعاتهم من العدوى التي يمكن الوقاية منها.🎯

In collaboration with the Medical Microbiology and Immunology Department at the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University, WHO Egypt joined students and faculty members to celebrate the International Infection Prevention Week 2025 through a community outreach day under the theme “Community-Based Infection Prevention.”

Students took part in interactive games and activities that raise awareness about infection prevention and the importance of protecting themselves and their communities from preventable infections.🎯

عقدت منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر، بالتعاون مع المجلس القومي للطفولة والأمومة، تدريبًا لمدة يومين في محافظة أسوان حول الوقاية من العنف والاستجابة له داخل المدارس وفي محيطها.

جمع التدريب بين موظفين من وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم الفني وأخصائيين اجتماعيين من ست مدارس معززة للصحة، وركّز على الوقاية من العنف وتعزيز الروابط بين قطاعات التعليم والصحة وخدمات حماية الطفل.

تدعم هذه المبادرة جهود مصر لتعزيز مبادرة المدارس المعززة للصحة، بما يضمن بيئات تعليمية أكثر أمانًا وشمولًا لجميع الأطفال، بمن فيهم المهاجرون واللاجئون.

تم تنفيذ هذا التدريب في إطار البرنامج المشترك للأمم المتحدة المموّل من الاتحاد الأوروبي ضمن المنصة المشتركة للمهاجرين واللاجئين في مصر.

WHO Egypt, in collaboration with the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, organized a two-day training in Aswan Governorate on preventing and responding to violence in and around schools.

The training brought together staff from the Ministry of Education and Technical Education and social workers from six Health Promoting Schools, focusing on preventing violence, and strengthening links between education, health, and child protection services.

The initiative supports Egypt’s efforts to advance the Health Promoting Schools initiative, ensuring safer, more inclusive learning environments for all children, including migrants and refugees.

This training was carried under the Joint UN Programme funded by the European Union within the Framework of the Joint Platform for Migrants and Refugees in Egypt.

بالتعاون مع وزارة الصحة والسكان وبدعم من صندوق الجوائح نظّم مكتب منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر ورشة عمل استمرت أربعة أيام حول مستوى التميز في السلامة
البيولوجية.

شارك بالورشة أكثر من 70 مسؤول سلامة بيولوجية و أمان حيوي من مختبرات الصحة العامة ممثلين عن 26 محافظة. وتقدم هذه الورشة تدريب شامل واحترافي في السلامة البيولوجية على مستوى الصحة المهنية.

تأتي هذه الورشة استكمالًا للمبادرة التي بدأت في أكتوبر 2023 لتعزيز تدابير السلامة البيولوجية والأمن البيولوجي في مختبرات الصحة العامة في مختلف أنحاء مصر. وتعكس هذه المبادرة التزام منظمة الصحة العالمية مكتب مصر ووزارة الصحة والسكان بتعزيز قدرة المختبرات كأحد العناصر الحيوية في النظام الصحي الوطني في مصر.


In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population and with support from the Pandemic Fund, WHO Egypt organized a four-day Biosafety Excellence Level workshop. More than 70 biosafety officers from Public Health Laboratories across 26 governorates participated.

This workshop builds on the initiative launched in October 2023 to enhance biosafety and biosecurity measures in public health laboratories across Egypt. This phase focused on introducing comprehensive biosafety training at the occupational health level.

This initiative reflects WHO Egypt and the Ministry of Health and Population’s commitment to strengthening laboratory capacity as a critical component of Egypt’s national health system.

في إطار مبادرة المدارس المُعزِّزة للصحة، عقدت منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر، بالتعاون مع وزارة الصحة والسكان ووزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم الفني، دورتين تدريبيتين في القاهرة الكبرى.

هدفت التدريبات إلى تزويد 36 من العاملين بالمدارس و30 من مقدمي الرعاية الصحية بالأدوات اللازمة لبناء مدارس أكثر صحة وشمولًا، وتعزيز التماسك الاجتماعي بين طلاب المجتمع المضيف والطلاب المهاجرين واللاجئين.

وشملت الموضوعات التي تناولتها التدريبات الصحة النفسية، ومنع التنمر، والمياه والصرف الصحي والنظافة الصحية (WASH)، والنشاط البدني، والمشاركة المجتمعية، بالإضافة إلى الحقوق التعليمية والصحية للمهاجرين واللاجئين.

تم تنفيذ هذه الأنشطة في إطار البرنامج المشترك للأمم المتحدة المموّل من الاتحاد الأوروبي، ضمن المنصة المشتركة للمهاجرين واللاجئين في مصر.

Under the Health Promoting Schools initiative, WHO Egypt, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population and the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, held two intensive training cycles in Greater Cairo.

The trainings equipped 36 school staff and 30 healthcare providers with tools to create healthier, more inclusive schools, strengthening social cohesion between host-community and migrant and refugee students.

Topics covered included mental health, bullying prevention, WASH, physical activity, community engagement, and the educational and health rights of migrants and refugees.

These trainings were carried under the Joint UN Programme funded by the European Union within the Framework of the Joint Platform for Migrants and Refugees in Egypt.

اليوم في أسوان، وخلال فعالية رفيعة مستوى عُقدت على هامش منتدى أسوان للسلام والتنمية المستدامين، جدّدت الحكومة المصرية --مُمثلة في وزارة الخارجية - والأمم المتحدة في مصر والاتحاد الأوروبي، شراكتهم في إطار المنصة المشتركة للمهاجرين واللاجئين، التي تجمع بين الشركاء لتعزيز الوصول إلى الخدمات الأساسية وتعزيز التماسك الاجتماعي بين المهاجرين واللاجئين والمجتمعات المضيفة في مختلف أنحاء مصر.

سلطت الفعالية التي حضرها طيف واسع من شركاء التنمية، الضوء على التقدم المُحرز من خلال البرنامج المشترك للأمم المتحدة في إطار المنصة المشتركة اللاجئين وللمهاجرين في مصر، والذي يُموله الاتحاد الأوروبي، حيث يواصل الشركاء دعم المستشفيات والمدارس والمجتمعات في مصر، بما يُسهم في تحسين الوصول إلى خدمات الرعاية الصحية والتعليم والحماية للجميع.

Today in Aswan, during a high-level event held on the side-lines of the Aswan Forum, the Government of Egypt - represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates- the UN in Egypt and European Union, reaffirmed their partnership under the Joint Platform for Migrants and Refugees, which brings together partners to enhance access to essential services and strengthen social cohesion among migrants, refugees, and host communities across Egypt.
Attended by a wide range of development partners, the event highlighted the progress achieved through the EU-funded Joint UN Programme under the Joint Platform for Migrants and Refugees, through which partners continue to support hospitals, schools, and communities across Egypt — improving access to healthcare, education, and protection services for all.

At 8:00 a.m. each morning, Dr Essam Hassan, a nephrologist and deputy manager of Al-Agouza Hospital in Giza, Egypt, starts his workday by welcoming dozens of renal patients to his office, including refugees from Sudan. He meticulously reviews their lab tests, adjusts their treatment plans and throws in a light joke to make patients less tense.

Since many Sudanese patients cannot afford the often-expensive medications for renal failure, KSRelief and World Health Organization Egypt jointly launched the Sudanese Renal Failure Support Project under the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Population. The project offers free dialysis sessions and post-transplant medications in governmental hospitals for more than 1,000 people. So far, more than 150 patients are enrolled for dialysis and 250 are receiving medications.

For Dr Essam, the impact of the project has become deeply personal. “It makes a real difference to me to know that I am helping relieve the suffering of patients, and it brings me happiness to follow up with people who would otherwise not have the chance to see a nephrologist,” he says.
