عقدت منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر، بالتعاون مع وزارة الصحة والسكان وصندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان، تدريبًا لإعداد المدربين بهدف تعزيز القدرات الوطنية على الوقاية من العنف ضد النساء والأطفال والاستجابة له في مصر، بما يتماشى مع إرشادات منظمة الصحة العالمية والبروتوكولات الوطنية.

وساهم التدريب في تعزيز مهارات المشاركين، بما يمكّنهم من تدريب مقدمي الرعاية الصحية على التعرف على حالات العنف، والتعامل السريري معها، وتوثيقها، وإحالة الناجيات والناجين إلى الخدمات المناسبة، مع التأكيد على إتاحة الخدمات بشكل شامل وغير تمييزي، بما في ذلك للنساء والأطفال من المهاجرين واللاجئين.

WHO Egypt, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Population and UNFPA, conducted a Training of Trainers to strengthen national capacity to prevent and respond to violence against women and children in Egypt, in line with WHO guidelines and national protocols.

The training enhanced participants’ technical and facilitation skills to further train healthcare providers in the identification, clinical management, documentation, and referral of survivors, while emphasizing inclusive, non-discriminatory access to services, including for migrant and refugee women and children.

شارك مكتب منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر في المؤتمر الوطني لتعزيز دور المجتمع المدني في دعم التبرع المنتظم بالدم، الذي عُقد تحت رعاية معالي وزير الصحة والسكان الدكتور خالد عبد الغفار، ونظمته منظمة شريان العطاء.

وسلّطت منظمة الصحة العالمية الضوء على أهمية إشراك المجتمعات في التبرع المنتظم والطوعي بالدم، وتعزيز التنسيق بين منظمات المجتمع المدني.

وشهد المؤتمر مشاركة ممثلين عن وزارات الشباب والرياضة، والأوقاف، والتضامن الاجتماعي، إلى جانب عدد من كبرى المنظمات غير الحكومية العاملة في تقديم الخدمات الصحية.

وقال ممثل منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر الدكتور نعمة عبد، خلال كلمته في المؤتمر:
"إن تعزيز ثقافة التبرع المنتظم والطوعي بالدم ليس واجبًا إنسانيًا فحسب، بل يُعد استثمارًا في صحة المجتمع بأكمله. فهو يعكس قوة النظام الصحي وقدرته على حماية الأرواح وتقديم خدمات متوازنة وعادلة تضمن حق المرضى في العلاج عندما يحتاجون إليه."

WHO Egypt participated in the National Conference for Promoting the Civil Society’s Role in Supporting Regular Blood Donation, held under the patronage of H.E. the Minister of Health and Population Dr Khaled Abdelghaffa, and organized by Shoryan Al Ataa organisation.

WHO highlighted the importance of engaging communities in regular and voluntary blood donation and enhancing coordination among civil society organizations.

Representatives from the ministries of youth and sports, awqaf and social solidarity, in addition to major non-governmental organizations providing health services participated in the event.

“Promoting a culture of regular, voluntary blood donation is not only a humanitarian duty, but also an investment in the health of the entire community. It reflects the strength of the health system and its ability to protect lives and provide balanced and equitable services that ensure patients’ right to treatment when they need it,” said WHO Representative to Egypt Dr Nima Abid during the event.

شاركت منظمة الصحة العالمية في يوم في يوم علمي نظمه قسم طب المجتمع بكلية الطب بجامعة الإسكندرية، تحت عنوان: «القضاء على السعار بحلول عام 2030: هل يمكن تحقيقه من خلال نهج الصحة الواحدة؟».

وخلال الجلسات العلمية، استعرضت منظمة الصحة العالمية الاستراتيجية العالمية للقضاء على السعار، مع تسليط الضوء على أهدافها الرئيسية ومراحل تنفيذها، مؤكدةً الدور المحوري لنهج الصحة الواحدة في تحقيق الهدف المعتمد عالميًا ووطنيًا بالقضاء على السعار المنقول من الكلاب إلى البشر بحلول عام 2030.

كما شاركت المنظمة في حلقة نقاشية تناولت المسارات العملية للوصول إلى هدف القضاء على المرض، مع التركيز على التحديات والفرص والإجراءات الملائمة للسياق المحلي بمحافظة الإسكندرية.

وجاء تنظيم الفعالية بالتعاون مع مديرية الشؤون الصحية بالإسكندرية، والهيئة العامة للخدمات البيطرية، وعدد من منظمات المجتمع المدني، وبمشاركة طلاب ومتخصصين في الصحة العامة.

WHO Egypt participated in a scientific day organized by the Community Medicine Department at Alexandria University, titled “Zero Rabies by 2030: Is it achievable through the One Health approach?”

During the scientific sessions, WHO presented the Global Rabies Elimination Strategy, highlighting its key objectives and implementation phases, and underscored the critical role of the One Health approach in achieving the globally and nationally adopted goal of eliminating dog-mediated human rabies by 2030.

WHO also took part in a panel discussion that explored practical pathways to reaching the elimination target, with a focus on challenges, opportunities, and context-specific actions relevant to Alexandria Governorate.

The event was held in collaboration with the Alexandria Health Directorate, the General Organization for Veterinary Services, and civil society organizations, with participation from students and public health professionals.

جمعت منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر الشركاء الرئيسيين في ورشة عمل تأتي ضمن جهود أوسع لتعزيز منظومة البحوث الإكلينيكية في مصر.

وسلطت الورشة الضوء على أهمية توجيه البحوث نحو مجالات الأمراض ذات الأولوية والاحتياجات الصحية في مصر، وكذلك إجراء التجارب الإكلينيكية وفقًا لأفضل الممارسات العالمية والمعايير الأخلاقية. كما قام المشاركون بتقييم الفجوات الحالية، ومناقشة توصيات السياسات، ووضع خارطة طريق للتنفيذ.

وشارك في الورشة ممثلون عن المجلس الأعلى لمراجعة أخلاقيات البحوث الطبية الإكلينيكية، ووزارة الصحة والسكان، وهيئة الدواء المصرية، والمجلس الصحي المصري، ووزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، ووزارة التخطيط، ووزارة المالية، ووزارة الصناعة، إلى جانب عدد من المؤسسات الوطنية الأخرى.

وتُعد هذه الورشة خطوة مهمة نحو تطوير سياسة وطنية للبحوث الإكلينيكية والتجارب السريرية في مصر، بما يتماشى مع إرشادات منظمة الصحة العالمية وأولويات المجلس الأعلى لأخلاقيات البحوث الأكلينيكية.

WHO Egypt brought together key partners in a workshop that is part of wider efforts to strengthen Egypt’s clinical research ecosystem.

The workshop emphasized the importance of research that is based on priority disease areas and national health needs, and clinical trials that are based on global best practices and ethical standards. Participants assessed current gaps, discussed policy recommendations, and developed an implementation roadmap.

Representatives from the Supreme Council for Clinical Research Ethics (SCCRE), the Ministry of Health and Population, the Egyptian Drug Authority, the Egyptian Healthcare Council, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry of Planning, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry, and other national institutions participated in the workshop.

The workshop is an important step toward developing a national policy for clinical research and clinical trials in Egypt, aligned with WHO guidance and SCCRE priorities.

المجلس الأعلى لمراجعة أخلاقيات البحوث الطبية الإكلينيكية

مبروك للطلاب الفائزين في مبادرة "Future Fighters Against AMR"، التي نُظمت بالشراكة بين منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر والهيئة المصرية للدواء و ReAct Africa بهدف إشراك وتمكين الطلاب في مواجهة مقاومة مضادات الميكروبات.

خلال العام الماضي، حصل طلاب كليات الصيدلة من 19 جامعة على مستوى الجمهورية على تدريب ومعرفة ومهارات تساعدهم في تصميم وتنفيذ حملات توعية حول الاستخدام المسؤول للمضادات الحيوية.

وعرضت الفرق الفائزة أفكارًا وأساليب مبتكرة لرفع الوعي المجتمعي، وأبرزت الدور المهم الذي يمكن أن يلعبه الشباب في دعم الجهود الوطنية للحد من مقاومة مضادات الميكروبات.

Congratulations to the winning student teams of the “Future Fighters Against AMR” initiative, jointly organized by WHO Egypt, the Egyptian Drug Authority, and ReAct Africa, to engage and empower students in the fight against antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Over the past year, pharmacy students from 19 universities across Egypt received training, knowledge, and skills to design and lead awareness campaigns on the responsible use of antimicrobials.

The winning teams showcased innovative approaches to raising community awareness and highlighted the important role young people can play in supporting national efforts to combat AMR.

عقدت منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر محاكاة لجمعية الصحة العالمية (WHA)، وهي الهيئة العليا لاتخاذ القرار في منظمة الصحة العالمية، التي يشارك فيها وفود من جميع الدول الأعضاء وتركّز على جدول أعمال صحي محدد.

جمعت المحاكاة 40 من الشباب والشابات الدارسين في مجالات الصيدلة، والطب البيطري، والطب البشري، وطب الأسنان، والصحة العامة، لإتاحة تجربة عملية لدبلوماسية الصحة العالمية على أرض الواقع.

وركّزت نسخة هذا العام على تعزيز الترصد المتكامل لنهج الصحة الواحدة لمواجهة مقاومة مضادات الميكروبات والأمراض حيوانية المنشأ.

وتقمّص المشاركون أدوار مندوبي الدول، وشاركوا في التفاوض على القرارات، وتعرفوا على أهمية التعاون بين قطاعات صحة الإنسان والحيوان والبيئة في تعزيز الكشف المبكر والاستجابة الفعّالة لمقاومة مضادات الميكروبات والأمراض حيوانية المنشأ.

وتسهم هذه المحاكاة في تمكين الجيل القادم من قادة الصحة، وتسلّط الضوء على أهمية اتباع نهج موحد بين القطاعات المتعددة لحماية الصحة للجميع.

WHO Egypt organized a simulation of the World Health Assembly (WHA), the decision-making body of WHO that is attended by delegations from all WHO Member States and focuses on a specific health agenda.
The simulation brought together 40 young professionals studying pharmacy, veterinary medicine, medicine, dentistry, and public health to experience global health diplomacy in action.
This year’s theme focused on strengthening integrated One Health surveillance for antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and zoonotic diseases.
Participants took on the roles of country delegates, negotiated resolutions, and explored how collaboration between the human, animal, and environment sectors can enhance early detection and response to AMR and emerging zoonoses.
The simulation helps empower the next generation of health leaders and highlights the importance of a unified, multisectoral approach to safeguarding health for all.

اختتمت منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر، والمكتب الإقليمي لشرق المتوسط، بالتعاون مع البرنامج الموسع للتطعيمات بوزارة الصحة والسكان، ورشة تدريب مدربين استمرت 3 أيام لتعزيز قدرات التقصي الميداني والاستجابة للأمراض التي يمكن الوقاية منها بالتطعيمات. وشارك في الورشة حوالي 25 من مسؤولي الترصد على المستويين المركزي والطرفي من 10 محافظات.

أشاد الدكتور عمرو قنديل، نائب وزير الصحة والسكان، والدكتور نعمة عبد، ممثل منظمة الصحة العالمية في مصر، بقوة التعاون بين الوزارة والمنظمة في تعزيز قدرات الترصد والاستجابة السريعة، وذلك خلال اليوم الختامي للورشة، مؤكدين استمرار هذا التعاون.

وتضمّنت الورشة زيارات ميدانية إلى 4 مواقع ترصد حيث طبّق المشاركون المهارات التي اكتسبوها خلال التدريب، بما في ذلك:
✅ التقصي الميداني الفعّال
✅ الاكتشاف والتأكيد السريع للحالات
✅ أفضل ممارسات جمع العينات والتعامل معها ونقلها
✅ الاستجابة المنسّقة والسريعة لتحديات الصحة العامة

كما أسهمت الورشة في إعداد مجموعة من المدربين المؤهلين لنقل المعرفة النموذجية إلى فرق العمل الميدانية في مختلف أنحاء البلاد.

WHO Egypt and the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, in collaboration with the Expanded Programme on Immunization at the Ministry of Health and Population, concluded a 3-day Training of Trainers workshop to enhance field investigation and response to vaccine-preventable diseases. Nearly 25 surveillance officers from the central and governorate levels across 10 governorates participated.

Dr Amr Kandil, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, and Dr Nima Abid, WHO Representative in Egypt, highlighted the strong collaboration between the Ministry and WHO in strengthening surveillance and rapid response capacities during the closing day of the workshop, reaffirming the continuity of this partnership.

The workshop included field visits to 4 surveillance sites where participants applied the skills they gained, including:
✅effective field investigation,
✅rapid case detection and confirmation,
✅best practices for specimen collection, handling and transport, and
✅ timely coordinated response to potential public health threats

The workshop also created a pool of highly skilled trainers who will disseminate crucial, standardized knowledge to other field teams across the country.
