Doaa El Basiouny is a clinical psychologist and a member of the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS) as well as the Academy for Eating Disorders. She holds a Master of Psychology from the University of South Wales and a Diploma in Clinical Psychology from Ain Shams University. Furthering her specialization, she completed the Master Practitioner Eating Disorders diploma with NCfED in the UK.

In her practice, Doaa is especially interested in treating insomnia through cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I). Additionally, she is skilled in conducting cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Doaa also utilizes dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) for borderline personality disorders, offering both individual sessions and skills groups. Moreover, she provides prolonged exposure therapy for PTSD.

Doaa’s experience includes working at the Psychiatry Department at Cairo University Hospital and in different medical centers. She has participated in numerous conferences, workshops, and training programs, both within Egypt and internationally.

In her therapeutic approach, Doaa incorporates a variety of methods, always working in collaboration with her clients to create tailored treatment plans.

nine psychology is delighted to welcome Jassica Tanago to our team!

Jassica is a passionate Clinical Child Psychologist with a rich background in behavioral therapy. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Child Psychology from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, building on her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the American University in Cairo.

Throughout her Master’s program, Jassica gained invaluable experience working as a playworker, where she focused on nurturing self-esteem and helping children articulate their feelings. Upon her return to Egypt, she embraced her role as a behavioral therapist, specializing in supporting both vocal and non-vocal children facing a variety of challenges, including learning disabilities, functional disabilities, Autism, and ADHD. Her training with the Fahim Foundation has further enriched her expertise, and she has completed the CBT in Practice course at the prestigious Beck Institute.

Jassica’s passion for working with children drives her commitment to providing the highest level of support. She employs a variety of tailored approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and behavioral techniques, ensuring that each child’s unique needs are met. Above all, Jassica prioritizes building a strong therapeutic relationship, where every child feels safe, accepted, and truly heard.

Our Story

After many years of practice, dealing with nearly all types of psychiatric disorders, addictions and thousands of clients seeking personal development; it became obvious that a Holistic Approach is a must.

To deal with a person as a whole.

A person is not a disorder, an addiction or a problem. He needs to be dealt with as a whole.

He needs to be dealt with holistically, seen as a whole and with depth.

Then dealt with on different levels - integrating different types of therapy and medications when needed.

We assembled and developed a team of very capable therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists to administer this holistic approach, nine psychology.

Peer supervision is a cornerstone at nine psychology where all the therapists exchange their experiences and develop personally and as therapists.

The clinic has a classic yet timeless feel to it, the interiors have been carefully & tastefully thought out by its founder in order to provide our clients with a warm, comfortable and inviting atmosphere for one to one counselling sessions. Adding to the warmth of the clinic is the predominant use of wood throughout the premises.

nine psychology has recently gone through an expansion in 2017, with the prominent addition being the multifunction ''Atrium Room'' that features natural daylight - an ideal space to host workshops, group sessions, seminars and trainings. Part of this expansion also included a library with an extensive selection of books curated by nine psychology's team of experts.
