🌙 Oral Hygiene During Ramadan: Small Habits, Big Difference
Ramadan changes our daily routine — meal timing, hydration, and sleep patterns all shift.
But your oral health should never take a break.
Here’s how to keep your mouth healthy while fasting:
🦷 1️⃣ Brush at the Right Time
• After Suhoor
• After Iftar
• Before sleeping
Use a soft toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste for 2 minutes.
🌿 2️⃣ Use Miswak During Fasting
Miswak is completely acceptable while fasting and helps:
✔ Reduce bacteria
✔ Control bad breath
✔ Stimulate saliva naturally
💧 3️⃣ Hydrate Smartly
Between Iftar and Suhoor:
• Drink plenty of water
• Avoid excessive sugary drinks
• Limit caffeine (it increases dryness)
Dry mouth = higher risk of decay and bad breath.
🍽 4️⃣ Be Careful with Sugary & Sticky Foods
Ramadan desserts are part of the joy 😊
But remember:
• Rinse with water after sweets
• Don’t sleep without brushing
🧵 5️⃣ Don’t Forget Floss
Food trapped between teeth overnight can cause inflammation and gum problems.
🌟 Healthy fasting includes caring for your body — and your smile is part of it.
