L’Institut français d'archéologie orientale du Caire fait partie du réseau des Écoles françaises à l'étranger. Placé sous la tutelle scientifique de l’Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres, il est un établissement public à caractère scientifique, culturel et professionnel relevant du Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche. L'IFAO a pour vocation l’étude des cultures qui se sont succédé en Égypte depuis la préhistoire jusqu’à l’époque contemporaine.

La salle de lecture de la bibliothèque sera exceptionnellement fermée le dimanche 18 janvier 2026 de 12h30 à 14h et le lundi 19 janvier 2026 toute la journée.

Une première concrétisation de la convention INP / Ifao !
Une équipe de trois formatrices de l’ national du patrimoine : Charlotte REROLLE , Anne-Marie Geffroy et Marie Petit se sont déplacées au Caire début janvier afin d’animer une formation à destination des restaurateurs du pôle archéométrie de l’Ifao autour de la restauration des métaux et des briques. La formation d’une semaine comprenait des cours théoriques et de méthodologie, des démonstrations pratiques au laboratoire de restauration de l’Ifao, une visite du musée du Caire et du site de Saqqara. Anita Quiles ( / LSCE), responsable des projets scientifiques du pôle archéométrie de l’Ifao, s’est déplacée également au Caire pour encadrer la formation.

أول ثمرة ملموسة لإتفاقية المعهد الفرنسي للآثار الشرقية والمعهد الوطني للتراث :

توجهت ثلاث مدربات من المعهد الوطني للتراث: شارلوت ريرول وآن ماري جيفروي وماري بيتي إلى القاهرة في مطلع شهر يناير لتقديم دورة تدريبية لمرممي قسم الترميم بالمعهد حول ترميم المعادن والطوب. تضمنت الدورة التدريبية التي استمرت أسبوعًا محاضرات نظرية ومنهجية، وعروضًا عملية في مختبر الترميم بالمعهد، وزيارة إلى المتحف المصري وموقع سقارة. كما شاركت أنيتا كيلس، مسؤولة المشاريع العلمية في قسم الأركيومتري في المعهد الفرنسي لآثار مصر، إلى القاهرة للمشاركة في الدورة التدريبية.

Fermeture exceptionnelle

Chers usagers,
l'ensemble de la bibliothèque sera fermée du jeudi 18 décembre 2025 à 16h au samedi 3 janvier 2026 inclus (fermeture administrative de l'Ifao).

La salle de lecture sera exceptionnellement fermée le mercredi 7 janvier 2026.

La bibliothèque vous souhaite de joyeuses fêtes de fin d'année.

انتهت هذا الإسبوع الدورة التدريبية في علم المخطوطات والنشر النقدي للنصوص والتي عقدت في الفترة بين نوفمبر وديسمبر ٢٠٢٥ لمدة خمسة جلسات اسبوعيا. حاضر في هذه الدورة الأستاذ الدكتور أيمن فؤاد سيد المؤرخ والمحقق المعروف والخبير بالمعهد الفرنسي للآثار الشرقية، وشارك فيها عدد من الطلاب والمختصين بعلم المخطوطات العربية.
نود أن نشكر جميع المشاركين والمنظمين.
