Meet Georgenia! 😊

Gina received her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology with a Child & Adolescent subspeciality from Benedictine University, and double majored receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Musical Arts in Music Performance graduating Summa Cum Laude from The American University in Cairo.

With over 750 hours of supervised clinical training, she gained international experience working with clients from ages 4-25, with various presenting challenges including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, separation anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, abuse, anger management, behavioral concerns, parenting concerns, and suicidal ideation.

Gina’s approach to therapy falls under a client-centered and trauma-informed umbrella incorporating play therapy, art therapy, music therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), behavior modification therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, pet-assisted therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and sand-tray therapy. She is also happy to provide therapy in Arabic and/or English.

Meet Mirna! 😊

Mirna obtained her Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from London South Bank University and she also earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the British University in Egypt, where she graduated with highest honors. She currently works as an assistant lecturer at the British University in Egypt.

Through her supervised clinical training, Mirna has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds. She has extensive experience in university counseling settings, where she supported students struggling with self-esteem, depression, anxiety, stress, grief, identity issues, body image concerns, OCD, ADHD, trauma, life transitions, personality disorders and relationship difficulties. Additionally, she has worked with NGOs, providing psychological support to refugees and individuals affected by gender-based violence.

She believes that a safe therapeutic relationship that is built on unconditional acceptance is the foundation of effective therapy. She also strongly believes in the importance of tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs. She has received training in various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Meet Terivina! 😊

Terivina is a counseling psychologist and psychotherapist who has a counseling psychology MA degree from the American University in Cairo (AUC). She was trained as a generalist therapist; during her practicum and internship she has conducted counseling sessions at AUC Psychological counseling and training center as well as other psychology centers; she worked on a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, Bipolar disorder, personality concerns, panic attacks, self-esteem issues, and relationship difficulties. In addition, she has co-led a psycho-educational group on dealing with anxiety; "Get out of your mind and live your life". She is trained in CBT and person-centered Therapy; she also works with couples. Moreover Terivina is a certified pain management therapist; certified by Stanford University school of Medicine as Empowered relief instructor and has worked with a number of chronic pain patients.

She strongly believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship as the basis for a successful therapeutic journey for the client. She prefers integrated approach to tailor the therapeutic interventions according to the client's needs.
