🌸 How beautiful is it! Like flowers under the microscope...
This tiny white growth on the tongue turned out to be a Squamous Papilloma, caused by HPV — a common virus that can affect both the oral cavity and the cervix.
Some HPV types are completely benign, while others are linked to oral and cervical cancers.
✅ In this case, the lesion was removed and confirmed as benign under the microscope.

فيروس HPV مش بس بيصيب عنق الرحم… كمان مرتبط بسرطان الفم!
الفيروس ده شائع، وبينتقل بسهولة، وأحيانًا بيظهر على شكل زوائد بسيطة في الفم أو اللسان.
🔬 بعض الأنواع منه حميدة، لكن في أنواع تانية مرتبطة بسرطانات خطيرة زي سرطان الفم وعنق الرحم.

في الحالة دي، الزائدة الصغيرة على اللسان كانت ورم حليمي حميد بسبب HPV، واتشالت بالكامل.
✅ التشخيص تم في Oromed Lab بدقة تحت الميكروسكوب.

A 23-year-old male presented with a painful ulcer on the hard palate after consuming extremely hot food.

Thermal food burns usually appear on the palate or posterior buccal mucosa.
The lesions appear as zones of erythema and ulceration that often exhibit remnants of necrotic epithelium at the periphery.

مريض عمره 23 سنة ظهر عنده تقرّح مؤلم في سقف الحلق بعد تناول طعام ساخن جدًا.

Intraosseous Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma – When the Jaw Hides a Salivary Malignancy
A rare but important diagnosis — intraosseous mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) can arise within the jawbone, either from: 🔹 Malignant transformation of odontogenic cyst linings, or
🔹 Entrapped submandibular salivary gland tissue during development.
📍 Most cases appear in the posterior mandible, presenting as a radiolucent lesion, often mistaken for a cyst or tumor.
🔬 Histology shows a mix of mucous, epidermoid, and intermediate cells – sometimes within a cystic architecture.
❗ Takeaway: Not every jaw cyst is innocent — always biopsy and beware of hidden malignancy.

Jaw Bone Necrosis – What Should Dentists Look Out For?
