Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub and his brilliant team have unveiled a groundbreaking innovation:
a bioresorbable heart valve that naturally dissolves after implantation, allowing the patient’s own tissue to grow into a living, fully functional valve. This process, known as valvulogenesis, marks a major step forward in regenerative cardiac medicine.
