professor and chairman of general
surgery department at Kasr Al Aini faculty of medicine, Cairo University.He is the founder and head of hepato-pancreato-biliary unit.He is one of the founder and the managing director of liver transplantation program in Kasr Al Aini faculty of medicine hospitals.He is one of the Founders and moderator of the Egyptian Hepato-pancreato-biliary fellowship (MOH).He is a Member of the supreme committee of organ transplantation in Egypt. He received his MBBCH from same university in 1982 after which he persuaded his postgraduate education (Msc,MD 1991) and training in general surgery at the same institution. This is in addition to his abroad training in US and UK in the fields of laparoscopic surgery, HPB, and liver transplantation. Through out his career he developed a robust practice
and research in advanced laparoscopic and Bariatric surgeries in addition to liver transplantation and HPB surgeries. This is enabled him to convey his experience to other surgeons in different parts in Egypt and region. Prof Mostafa is one of the founders and elected member of different medical associations (Egyptian society of laparoscopic surgeons, HPB Group of the Egyptian Society of Surgeons, Egyptian
organ transplantation society, Hepato-Cellular Carcinoma society of Kasr AlAini, Egyptian medical associationfor study of obesity), this in addition to his membership in other local and international societies.

Previous head of GI, Hepatology department Theodor Bilharz research institute, Vice president of Egyptian Society of Hepatology, Gastroenterology and infectious disease and Vice president of Egyptian Group of Study of Update of Hepatology and Gastroenteroloy.

Fellow ACG, member of AASLD, EASL, an international member of ASGE and ESGE also a member of New York Academy of Science and a reviewer of Gastrintestinal Endosocpy journal and Liver international journal.

Pr Philippe Lévy works currently as head of the Department of Pancreatology in Beaujon’s Hospital,
Clichy, France. This department is totally devoted to pancreatic diseases and neuroendocrine
digestive and pancreatic tumors. He is Professor of Gastroenterology at University Paris 7, Denis-
Diderot, since 1999. His main areas of interest are acute and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic
adenocarcinoma and cystic pancreatic tumors. His department is labeled as national reference center
for rare pancreatic disease and as European reference center for digestive neuroendocrine tumors).
He has published 240 papers in international Journals and served as a reviewer for leading journals in
Pancreatology. He is past President of the International Association of Pancreatology, French
Pancreatic Club, French CME association and received in 2018 a lifetime achievement award from
European Pancreatic Club. He is a member of several societies in the field of Pancreatology.

Professor of Hepatology, University of Paris. Patrick Marcellin is Professor of Hepatology at University of Paris and Head of the Viral Hepatitis Research Unit in Beaujon Hospital, Clichy.

Professor Marcellin Earned his medical degree from the University of Paris and Undertook postgraduate training in both internal medicine and gastroenterology-hepatology at the Assistance Publique-Hopitaux de Paris.

Professor Marcellin completed research fellowships in immunology (College of Physicians and surgeons at the Columbia University, New York City, USA) and virology (Institut Pasture, Paris).

He Also holds a PhD in virology. since 1984, he has been actively involved in laboratory and clinical research on viral Hepatitis and liver diseases. His major focus has been on viral hepatitis therapy, and as such he has been the principal investigator on initial trials of first interferons and antivirals and on several pivotal studies investigating therapies for chronic hepatitis B and C.

Professor Marcellin was a member of the Scientific Committee of EASL Consensus Conference on Hepatitis C in 1999 and the EASL Consensus Conference on Hepatitis B in 2002.

He was the Chairman of the panel on the 2009 EASL hepatitis B guidelines. He has been the Founder and President of the French National Hepatitis Network. He is the President of APHC (Association for the Promotion of Hepatologic Care) that has organized the Annual Paris Hepatitis Conference for the last 10 years. Olivier Soubrane is Professor of Surgery and chairs the Department of HPB Surgery and Liver
Transplant in Beaujon Hospital, Clichy, France. He received his training and fellowship in
surgery in Paris, France, and a post-doc fellowship in liver transplant with Prof. Carlos E.
Esquivel in San Francisco, USA. He previously chaired the Department of Surgery in Cochin
Hospital, and the Department of HPB Surgery in St Antoine Hospital, both in Paris, France.
He has dedicated a significant period in research, leading a surgical research laboratory for
ten years in Cochin Hospital and serving two terms in Surgery Committees for INSERM, the
French National Agency for Research.
As academic surgeon, Olivier Soubrane is an invited reviewer for several international
journals including Annals of Surgery, Journal of Hepatology, Annals of Surgical Oncology,
Transplantation, American Journal of Transplantation. He is member of IHPBA and ILTS.
His research interest includes liver cancer, laparoscopic techniques for resection of liver
tumors and live donor hepatectomy. He has reported the first laparoscopic left lateral
sectionectomy in a live donor with Daniel Cherqui in 2002 and the first laparoscopic right
hepatectomy in a live donor in 2013.
Founding member of the International Laparoscopic Liver Society (ILLS), Olivier Soubrane
was co-President with Daniel Cherqui of the first world meeting held in Paris on July 6-8,
2017.

Field of interest and research include pathological and molecular aspects of the liver fibrosis and tumors (bengin and malignant) with a specific interest of hepatocellular carcinomas developed in patents with metabolic syndrome.

Her team has developed original in situ proteomic approach (MALDI imaging) for identification of tissue biomarkers, and ex vivo culture model of human tumor slices for evaluation of therapeutic molecules.

V.Paradis is involved in educational activities, chairing the specialty "Epithelium: interface structure" (Master 2 "Cellular biology-physiology-pathology").
