Theriogenology department is specialized in animal reproduction science. Students of the fourth and fifth divisions are trained on animal reproduction techniques on four semesters over two years, where they learn physiology of reproduction in male and female animals , gynecology, obstetrics and assisted reproductive technology including artificial insemination and embryo transfer. Specialized and elective courses (credit hours system) are also available in all aspects of reproduction in animals for graduate students. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
يختص قسم الولادة بتدريس مادة الولادة والتى تشمل التناسل والولادة فى الحيوانات الكبيرة والصغيرة. ويتم تدريس مادة الولادة للطــلاب على اربعـة فصول دراسية على مدار عاميـن للفرقتين الرابعـة والخامسـة ، حيث يتم تدريس فسيولوجيا التناسل فى إنـاث وذكور الحيوانات وامراض الذكور وتقنية التلقيح الصناعى ونقل الاجنة ، وذلك للفرقة الرابعة. ويتم تدريس المشاكل المختلفة المتعددة لنقص الخصوبة فى الحيوانات ، وايضا فسيولوجيا الحمل والولادة وكذلك مشاكل عسر الولادة وامراضها ، وذلك للفرقة الخامسة.

ويختص قسم الولادة ايضا بتدريس العديد من المقررات المتخصصة والاختيارية فى جميع نواحى مادة الولادة وفى مختلف الحيوانات ، لطـلاب الدراسـات العليـا بمختلف مراحلها وذلك بنظام الساعات المعتمدة.
