I am an Egyptian Psychotheraist and Author, living in the UK. I worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist, Ass. Professor of Psychiatry, Egypt and currently a Psychotherapist in Private Practice, UK. I am the former Vice-President of the Egyptian Association for Group Therapies and Processes, a BACP Registered Member, UK, and a Certified Group Psychotherapist (CGP), American Group Psychotherapy Associat
ion (AGPA). I have graduated from Minia Faculty of Medicine, Egypt, and studied a major part of my PhD in the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, Essex University, UK on the “Creative Aspects of Group Psychotherapy”. I have many international publications in leading journals of group psychotherapy, co-authored some scientific books and book chapters and participated in many international scientific conferences during my career. I am interested in raising psychological awareness in the Egyptian and Arab communities, both home and abroad, using a simple, yet scientific language. My Arabic articles, posts, and books have attracted a very wide population from all ages and encouraged them to read in the fields of psychology, self-help, and interpersonal relationships. My five Arabic books have been the best sellers in Egypt since their release (2015 till now). I have presented a TED talk on April 2016. I have been and still a regular guest in many Egyptian satellite and radio channels talking about psychological matters and have participated for 2 consecutive seasons in a one-hour weekly TV show called (Shezlong) on TeNTV. I regularly conduct public lectures, talks and interactive meetings, in addition to three annual public lecture in the bibliotheca Alexandria’s largest hall.
