تم الانتهاء من تدريب المجموعة الثالثة من طلبة امتياز الصيدلة( فارم دى) للعام الدراسي ٢٠٢٥/٢٠٢٦
تم فيها تدريبهم فى مختلف اقسام الصيدلة و تشمل صيدليات الخارجى و الصيدليات الداخلية . Mandatory pharmacy rotation
كما تم تدريبهم على نظام هيئة الشراء الموحد و ميكنة الدواء و سياسات حفظ و تخزين الادوية .
و كذلك تم التدريب فى قسم الصيدلة الاكلينيكية تحت اشراف د. انجى عبدالعزيز رئيس قسم الصيدلة الاكلينيكية mandatory clinical rotation على تقييم التاريخ الطبى و الدوائى للمريض و تحديد المشكلات المتعلقة بالدواء و الاخطاء الدوائية و فهم و تطبيق المعرفة على حالات و امراض متنوعة .
نهنئ متدربينا بهذه الخطوة المهمة و نتمنى لهم مزيد من التقدم و النجاح فهم مستقبل الصيدلة و عنوان تطورها .

🛑metronidazole in Lactation
✅ that lower doses (for example 400 mg three times daily for seven days) are associated with concentrations that are compatible with breastfeeding

✅The CDC guidelines on sexually transmitted infections mention that some clinicians recommend avoiding breastfeeding for 12 to 24 hours after higher metronidazole doses (such as a 2 g single maternal dose)

🛑 metronidazole in pregnancy

✅ In general, use of metronidazole should be avoided, particularly during the first trimester
✅should only be used in pregnancy if treatment of infection is necessary and no safe alternative agents are available (eg, bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis)

✅(CDC) suggests that treatment of bacterial vaginosis with short courses of metronidazole (500 mg orally twice daily for seven days or 0.75 percent gel intravaginally daily for five days) in pregnancy appears to pose a low risk of teratogenicity or mutagenic effects.

✅metronidazole formulations in pregnancy, such as 750 mg vaginal tablets and 1.3 percent vaginal gel, so use of these should be avoided

🔹PCT appears to be a more specific marker for bacterial infections than either CRP or ESR, and it can be a valuable tool for the clinician to help assess mortality risks of patients with infections and also can help determine when to initiate antibacterial mostafa AMR coordinator

🛑 beta blocker and hypertension

✅ A beta blocker is generally not a first-line or second-line therapy for hypertension because its use is associated with inferior protection against stroke and mortality risk compared with other antihypertensive agents.

✅For treatment of resistant hypertension, vasodilating beta blockers such as nebivolol may provide more antihypertensive benefit with fewer side effects such as impaired glucose tolerance
