Call for Submissions: Special Issue on Advances in Facial Trauma Surgery

Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to announce the upcoming Special Issue titled “Advances in Facial Trauma Surgery” in Craniomaxillofacial Trauma & Reconstruction. As guest editors, we invite surgeons, researchers, and clinicians dedicated to the field of facial trauma to submit their original research, reviews, and clinical studies.

# # # Focus Areas
This Special Issue aims to highlight the latest innovations in:
- Novel diagnostic technologies (e.g., intraoperative cone-beam CT, real-time surgical navigation)
- Innovative surgical instruments and fixation systems
- Updated treatment protocols for maxillofacial trauma
- Prospective and retrospective clinical studies on outcomes and complications
- Systematic reviews and meta-analyses in evidence-based facial trauma management
- Emerging techniques in minimally invasive or patient-specific trauma surgery

- Deadline for Manuscript Submission: March 31, 2026
- Manuscripts can be submitted online at [MDPI](https://www.mdpi.com) after registering on the website.

Accepted papers will be published continuously and listed together on the Special Issue website.

Just Back from the AO CMF Course on Management of Facial Trauma!

I am thrilled to share my experience as an international faculty member at the AO CMF Course in Chandigarh, India! This event was not just a course; it was a vibrant exchange of ideas and techniques in facial trauma management.

Course Highlights:
- Dynamic Faculty Collaboration: Collaborating with brilliant minds from around the globe was an absolute privilege. We engaged in lively discussions around pivotal topics like mid and upper facial trauma, mandibular injuries, and cutting-edge soft tissue management techniques.
- Hands-On Learning: The practical exercises were a game changer! Participants had the chance to dive deep into real-world scenarios, sharpening their skills in managing complex cases with confidence.
- Energized Participants: The enthusiasm and eagerness to learn from all attendees were truly infectious. Their passion for advancing their knowledge made the course an unforgettable success!

Highlights from the AOCMF Global Study Club!

On July 3, 2025, we gathered at the AOCMF Cairo Course, creating an unforgettable hybrid experience that brought together participants from around the globe. The vibrant interactions between our in-person and online attendees truly made this study club extraordinary!

I had the incredible opportunity to Co-chair and present at the Egyptian Society of Craniomaxillofacial Surgery EGCMF session. It was an honor to share insights and discuss advancements in our field with esteemed colleagues and professionals from across Africa.
