We decorated our own Christmas pieces, enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate 🤩, and wrapped it all up with a Secret Santa that filled the day with happiness, laughter, and sharing.

Job Summary
To support the growth of MARC’s clinical research services by identifying business opportunities, engaging with potential clients, and assisting in proposal development and relationship management. The Junior Business Developer contributes to expanding MARC’s client base and enhancing the visibility of its services locally and internationally.

Main Responsibilities:
-identify potential clients and collaborators across CRO, pharmaceutical, and biotech sectors.
-Conduct market research to map industry trends, competitors, and potential new service areas.
-Assist in maintaining an updated database of prospects and outreach activities (CRM support).
-Assist in the development of commercial proposals, quotations, and service presentations tailored to client needs.

Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Biotechnology, Business Administration, or related field.
-0–2 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or internship in a CRO, pharma, or life science company.
-Familiarity with clinical research services, the CRO business model, or healthcare sector is preferred.
-Professional with Digital marketing tools
-Strong interest in client-facing roles and market growth strategy.
-Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
-Based in Cairo, Giza, or 6th of October City preferred

نفخر بمركز إم إيه أر سي MARC باستضافة وفد رفيع المستوى من Africa CDC يشمل ضيوف من خمس دول إفريقية برفقةالدكتور مصطفى غراب هيئة الشراء الموحّد UPA خلال زيارتهم لمركزنا هذا الأسبوع، في إطار تعاون فعّال وبنّاء.

وقد ضمّ الوفد شخصيات مميزة من خمس دول إفريقية محورية: السنغال، تنزانيا، غانا، المغرب، وكينيا. حيث قام الوفد بجولة موسّعة، مشيدين بدور MARC القيادي في مجالات البحث والتطوير.

الابتكار في الواجهة:
📍 قسم معامل الابحاث (BioScience): التي تُعد نموذجًا للممارسات العلمية المتقدمة في المنطقة.
📍 قسم الأبحاث السريرية (CRO): و الخبرات في إدارة الدراسات السريرية بكفاءة ووفق أعلى المعايير العلمية والأخلاقية.
📍 قسم التكافؤ الحيوي (Bioequivalence): تسليط الضوء على بروتوكولات الجودة الصارمة التي نتّبعها، والتي تُعد ركناً أساسياً لضمان توفير أدوية آمنة .

وقد أثنى الوفد بحماس على التزام MARC بالابتكار، ودعم مبادرات الصحة العامة، وتعزيز الاعتماد الدوائي الذاتي في القارة الإفريقية. وقد رسخت هذه الزيارة الناجحة مكانة MARC بوصفه شريكًا إقليميًا محوريًا في دفع التقدم العلمي وتحقيق أثر تعاوني واسع.

It was a great pleasure to receive Dr. Mohamed Donia, a distinguished scientist from Princeton University, who gave the MARC webinar last week. Dr. Donia, together with our other partners, visited MARC to celebrate the initiation of the National Pharmacomicrobiomics Alliance. This Alliance was proposed to the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), who accepted to fund us through the JESOR program, and we celebrated signing the project contracts.
The project, initiated by Dr. Ramy K. Aziz (head of MARC Bioscience Research Laboratories), will begin as a core alliance between scientists from four Egyptian partner institutions: MARC, Faculty Of Pharmacy Cairo University, Future University in Egypt, and Children's Cancer Hospital - Egypt 57357 . Dr. Donia, being a world-renowned expert in the field, will support and guide the initiative, which aims to promote pharmacomicrobiomics and conduct foundational experimental research in the field.

In next stages, we aim to translate pharmacomicrobiomics research into clinical and pharmaceutical practice. We also welcomed visitors from Suez Canal University, Ain Shams University, and Shefaa Al orman Hospitals - مستشفيات شفاء الأورمان to discuss expanding the collaboration.

The visitors had a tour of MARC facilities, the clinical site, bioequivalence center, and research laboratories.

Last week, our MARC team stepped out of the lab and into history!

We spent an inspiring day at the Great Egyptian Museum, exploring one of Egypt’s greatest cultural treasures and enjoying quality time together as one team.

From the guided tour, to the interactive activities, to our team lunch , it was a perfect mix of learning, bonding, and fun.
Moments like these remind us of the importance of connection, culture, and celebrating the heritage we’re proud of.

Today, we celebrate another milestone for MARC.
Our biocompatibility and regulatory teams have just supported a second ocular product all the way to Saudi FDA approval through a complete biological safety package—from testing to documentation.

In this exciting project, our role went beyond running assays.
At MARC, we:
📍 Designed the biological evaluation plan in line with ISO 10993 and Saudi FDA expectations
📍 Performed the required bio-compatibility tests in our accredited labs
📍 Prepared a structured biological evaluation report that linked the data to a clear risk–benefit conclusion

The outcome was a smooth review and a successful approval for our partner, and this is exactly what MARC strives to deliver: solid lab work, clear documentation, and regulatory thinking that help companies bring safer medical products to patients.
We are really proud of our team and grateful to our partners for trusting us with their second Saudi FDA submission.

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Hany Robin to MARC as our new CRO Head.

Dr. Hany joins us with more than 18 years of hands-on experience leading Phase I–IV clinical trials, managing large-scale vaccine studies, and driving real-world evidence programs across MEA. His proven ability to build high-performing teams and deliver operational excellence will significantly strengthen MARC’s commitment to world-class research and innovation.

Under his leadership, our Contract Research Organization unit will oversee end-to-end clinical operations, sponsor engagement, and quality/compliance across multi-therapeutic programs.
We truly look forward to shaping an even more successful journey with him and unlocking new milestones for MARC and the wider region.
