Dr. Mohamed Fawzi is working on new technologies that are used in the world as an alternative solution to surgical interventions to treat some diseases such as benign and malignant tumors and other diseases, which in turn provides a great deal to the patient economically, psychologically, socially and of course medically for cases that do not bear surgical intervention due to aging or the fear of possible complications due anesthesia, chronic diseases, patient medical history or weak immunity, which may lead to infection.
Thanks to new technologies, Nowadays we need to worry no more about all these possibilities, now the treatment of many diseases is limited to perhaps less than two hours, and the patient can resume his daily activities as if nothing had happened.
Technologies used:
1- High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)
It is a non-invasive therapeutic technique used abroad for more than 20 years and introduced by Dr. Mohamed Fawzy to Egypt a year ago, (HIFU) uses non-ionizing ultrasound to heat tissues. which can be used to increase blood flow, lymph tissue or destroy precisely targeted places, such as tumors, without chemotherapy, and this technique is completely safe for the skin and organs.
Applications: treatment of uterine fibroids, endometriosis, thyroid gland, treatment of malignant liver tumors, pancreas and secondary tumors of the bone.
2- Radio Frequency (RFA)
This is a minimally invasive procedure when surgery is not a good option. Endoscopic RFA is usually performed through a series of small holes in the abdomen where heat is directed precisely to destroy cancer cells.
Applications: liver cancer treatment, thyroid cancer treatment.
3- Microwaves (Hyperthermia)
A type of cancer treatment that involves heating tumor cells within the body. Elevating the temperature of tumor cells results in the cell membrane, which in turn leads to damage cancer cells or make it more sensitive to radiation effects and some anti-cancer drugs.
4- Laser Therapy
the laser beam is focused, making it a very powerful and accurate tool for treating or damaging cancer cells even in hard-to-reach places using optical fibers.
