Theodor Bilharz Research Institute ( TBRI )

Theodor Bilharz Research Institute ( TBRI ) TBRI is a medical research and training institution affiliated to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

It was founded upon an agreement, in 1964, between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Egyptian Government and was inaugurated in June 1978. TBRI collaborates with the WHO in the control of schistosomiasis in the Middle East. TBRI hosts the World Gastroenterology Organization (WGO) Cairo Training Center (CTC) in Africa
