Established December 2012, Roeya became the first center in Egypt to specialize in Hands On training in GIT Endoscopy. Soon after its establishment, we took part in the 5th Hepatology and Gastroenterology Post Graduate Course and the 14th International Workshop on Therapeutic Endoscopy in Egypt. During our workshops, our physicians perform the latest 14 techniques in GIT Endoscopy varying in levels of difficulty whether therapeutic or diagnostic. All the training's are done using the latest mechanical and bio-simulators, which aid our trainees to train in a human-like environment giving them insight of real time procedures. For the last few years, we started with holding four or five training events per year. However, starting from 2016, our mission is to increase our training sessions in Egypt and to expand further into Africa, Europe and Asia spreading knowledge and advanced training to future GIT doctors.

Roeya participated in the Kuwait Workshop held on January 25 at Kuwait University.

The hands-on sessions featuring ESD/EMR and bleeding management equipped doctors with practical skills, advanced techniques, and the confidence to apply them effectively in daily clinical practice.

We were proud to be part of the 1st MERC GIBD event on January 24 at Le Méridien Hotel, Dubai!

It was an incredible hands-on learning experience focused on gastrointestinal and biliary disorders, featuring a live endoscopy session streamed directly from مستشفى مصر الدولى - Misr International Hospital — making the program even more impactful and interactive.

The program covered:
🔹 Cholangioscopy – stone management
🔹 Bleeding management
🔹 Polypectomy
🔹 ERCP cannulation

Two patient cases of endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty and G-POEM were performed by Dr. Mostafa Ibrahim and Dr. Ahmed Al-Tonbary.

A big thank you to the course directors Dr. Piyush Somani and Dr. Abdelhakim Elganyni for their expertise and guidance, to Fujifilm Middle East for their valuable support, and to I‑Conference for the excellent organization.

Roeya at Dubai Endo-Horizons – FUJIFILM Training

Roeya was part of the Dubai Endo-Horizons – FUJIFILM Training held at the EXPO, a landmark event bringing together experts and innovators in advanced endoscopy.

The training offered a highly engaging, hands-on experience across key learning stations, including ESD, POEM, and Bleeding Management, highlighting the latest techniques and best practices in the field.

The event provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange, skill enhancement, and collaboration, reinforcing Roeya’s commitment to advancing endoscopic education and supporting continuous medical excellence in the region.

Roeya at ECYG Croatia (18–21) 🇭🇷

ECYG Croatia was an exceptional educational event, bringing together doctors for four days of learning, collaboration, and skill development, with two intensive hands-on days dedicated to advanced endoscopic training.

During the hands-on stations, participants gained valuable practical experience and clinical confidence in advanced endoscopy techniques, including ESD, EUS, ERCP, Bleeding Management, Polypectomy, and Closure of Perforation.

These stations allowed doctors to translate theory into practice in a structured, supervised environment, helping refine techniques, and ultimately enhance patient safety.

Special thanks to the Event Director, Prof. Tomislav Bokun, for his great organization and leadership, which made ECYG Croatia a successful experience.

We successfully concluded a 2-day Upper Endoscopy and Colonoscopy Fellowship Training Course at our training center, featuring a well-structured program that combined expert-led lectures with hands-on training.
