Dr. Noha Khater is a Consultant of Retinal Surgery and Medical Retina and a Professor of Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and a Member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of London.
Dr. Khater holds a Fellowship from the University of Texas, Houston in the United States in Retina Surgery and leads the Medical Team at Almouneer Diabetic Eye Care.
Dr. Khater is a pioneer in the Management of Diabetic Eye Diseases and Surgery in Egypt and the Middle East and is an expert in complex Retinal, Cataract surgery as well as Lasik Vision Correction.

It’s with deepest sorrow and sadness that we mourn the sudden passing of our dear professor Dr. Mohsen Emad Salem. He was indeed a great scientist, a remarkable professor and an impactful human being. May his soul rest in eternal peace and may God grant his daughters, family, students and loved ones patience and solace.

Dr Hazem Yassin is one of the pioneers of eye surgery in Egypt and the Middle East. He is a Professor of Ophthalmology at Cairo University and a Consultant of Cornea, Cataract and Refractive surgery in different hospitals. He is a respected figure in the field of Corneal and Refractive Surgery where he heads that specialized unit at Al Hayat hospital.
Dr Yassin is one of the first ophthalmologists who mastered the technique of lamellar keratoplasties and is recognized for his expertise in performing rare and intricate eye surgeries for numerous cases of difficult eye traumas. He is an invited guest and keynote speaker at numerous Ophthalmology conferences globally to educate surgeons from all over the world on iris surgeries, corneal transplantation (both penetrating and lamellar) as well as various anterior segment reconstructive surgeries.
Dr. Yassin was nominated among 60 surgeons from around the world for the Oscar Competition of surgical video film in Brussels 2000, Amsterdam 2001, Nice 2002, and Munich 2003.

Professor of Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University
Dr. Hala Elhilali is a Consultant of Pediatric and Strabismus surgery in Adults and Children. She is the Vice-President of the Egyptian Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (EAPOS) and is a board member at the International Strabismus Association (ISA).
Previously, Dr. Elhilali directed the Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Unit at Cairo University from 2015 to 2019. Currently, she holds the position of Head of Pediatric Ophthalmology Service at the International Eye Hospital in Cairo. She has a special interest in Pediatric and Adult Strabismus, Pediatric Glaucoma, and Pediatric Cataract.
