(MSSA) is a non-profit, non-religious, non-political organization, working by students for students, serving the community, and raising the principles of real Egyptian society.

هى منظمة غير هادفة للربح، ليس لها توجه سياسي أو ديني، تعمل عن طريق الطلاب من أجل الطلاب وخدمة المجتمع والارتقاء بمبادئ المجتمع المصرى الحقيقى

MSSA is a students’ NGO, which is a full member of IFMSA "International Federation of Medical Students' Association", through IFMSA-Egypt. MSSA was established in 1974 by Dr.Youssif Rezk, we were called Mansoura Students Scientific Society (MSSS), but then restructured in 1999 and named MSSA. MSSA is an independent association that represents students of Mansoura faculty of medicine, established under the patronage of Mansoura faculty of medicine dean. It pursues its aims without political, religious, social, racial, sexual, or any other discrimination.

هى منظمة طلابية غير حكومية والتى تعد عضو فى الاتحاد الفيدرالى الدولى لطلاب الطب عن طريق عضويتها فى فرعه فى مصر، أنشأها دكتور يوسف رزق عام 1974 وكانت تسمى MSSS
MSSA ثم تم إعادة هيكلتها عام 1999، سميت ب
وهى جمعية مستقلة تمثل طلاب كلية طب المنصورة، أنشأت تحت رعاية عميد كلية طب المنصورة, وهى تنتهج أهدافها دون أي تفرقة سياسية أو دينية أو اجتماعية أو عرقية أو جنسية أو أي نوع آخر من التفرقة

MSSA goals
to serve society and medical students through :
- increase medical students' skills and professional experience.
- increase awareness of medical students about their role in society.
- increase awareness of medical students about their role in decision-making inside the faculty.
- empowering medical students in using their knowledge and capacities for the benefit of society.
- promoting and facilitating professional and scientific exchange as well as projects and extracurricular training for medical students thereby sensitizing them to other cultures and society with their health problems.
- providing a link between members, medical student association, and international organizations, encouraging cooperation among them for the ultimate benefit of society.

أهداف الجمعية
خدمة المجتمع وطلاب الطب عن طريق
- زيادة المهارات لدى طلاب الطب وخبرتهم المهنية
- زيادة الوعي لدى طلاب الطب عن دورهم فى المجتمع
- زيادة الوعي لدي طلاب الطب عن دورهم فى عملية صنع القرار داخل الكلية
- تمكين طلاب الطب من استخدام معارفهم وقدراتهم لمصلحة المجتمع
- تشجيع وتسهيل تبادل المعلومات المهنية والعلمية فضلا عن المشاريع والدورات التدريبية خارج نظام المناهج الدراسية لطلاب الطب توعية بذلك من الثقافات الأخرى والمجتمع مع مشاكلهم الصحية
- توفير وجود صلة بين الأعضاء و الجمعية الطبية الطلابية والمنظمات الدولية، وتشجيع التعاون فيما بينها من أجل المنفعة القصوى للمجتمع

was founded in 1951 in Copenhagen as a result of the post-war wave of friendship among international students and has evolved to represent more than 1,100,000 medical students from over 100 nations. The IFMSA is affiliated with the United Nations system as a non-political non-governmental organization and is recognized by the World Health Organization as the official international forum for medical students (since 1969). IFMSA serves as a forum for sharing ideas and expertise among student organizations pertaining to public health, medical education, reproductive health, and human rights. IFMSA also serves as an action platform to formulate policies and coordinate activities by its member organizations.

On the 30th and 31st of October 2025, MSSA-Mansoura’s delegates marked the beginning of the 25/26 term at IFMSA-Egypt's First NGA and the Pre-NGA.

تسعد الجمعية العلمية لطلاب طب المنصورة بتسليط الضوء على مشاركتها في الفعالية الجانبية لاجتماع اللجنة الإقليمية رقم 72 تحت عنوان:
"تعزيز تنفيذ مبادرة منظمة الصحة العالمية لمكافحة سرطان الثدي من خلال الرعاية المرتكزة على المريض في إقليم شرق المتوسط"، والتي عُقدت في 16 أكتوبر 2025.

شارك في هذا الحدث الهام ممثلا عن الجمعية العلمية محمد فتحي وكريم السوداني، حيث حضرا جلسة مخصصة حول سرطان الثدي ركزت على تعزيز النهج المرتكز على المريض في التشخيص والعلاج والرعاية بجانب الجلسات التفاعلية الافتراضية التي حضرها العديد من ممثلي الجمعية العلمية.

تعكس هذه المشاركة التزام الجمعية العلمية المستمر بدعم الوعي الصحي وتعزيز المبادرات التي تسهم في تحسين نتائج الرعاية وجودة حياة المرضى في جميع أنحاء الإقليم.

MSSA is pleased to highlight its participation in the side event “Advancing the WHO GBCI implementation through patient-centered care in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR),” held on October 16th, 2025. MSSA representatives at this important event were Mr. Mohamed Fathy and Mr. Kareem El-Soudany, who attended a dedicated session on breast cancer, focusing on enhancing patient-centered approaches in diagnosis, treatment, and care bedside online sessions which many MSSA representatives attended. This engagement reflects MSSA’s ongoing commitment to advancing health awareness and supporting initiatives that promote better outcomes and quality of life for patients across the region.

خلال شهري سبتمبر وأكتوبر، ومع بداية العام الدراسي الجديد، شاركت الجمعية العلمية لطلاب طب المنصورة في الأسبوع التعريفي للطلاب الجدد.

وبين التجهيزات ذات الطابع المميّز والأنشطة التفاعلية، توثقت الروابط بين أعضائنا، وانضمّ طلاب جدد ليبدؤوا رحلتهم الخاصة.

كما قدّم أعضاؤنا جولاتٍ تعريفية في الكلية وورش المصطلحات الطبية لمساعدة الطلاب الجدد على التأقلم في أسبوعهم الأول.

حملت الدفعة الثانية من تدريب شومان الصيفي 2025 نفس روح التميّز والنمو التي ميّزت هذا البرنامج على مدار السنوات. أقيمت في النصف الثاني من شهر أغسطس، وجمعت مجموعة جديدة من طلاب طب المنصورة الطموحين الذين سعوا لتحويل معارفهم النظرية إلى خبرة عملية حقيقية. تنقّل الطلاب بين الأقسام المختلفة داخل المستشفيات الجامعية، وتعلموا مباشرة من الأطباء وشهدوا واقع الرعاية الصحية اليومية تجربة تُنمّي المهارة وتُشكّل الشخصية.

ومرة أخرى، أثبت التدريب أنه أكثر من مجرد فرصة تدريبية؛ إنه رحلة من التوجيه، والعمل الجماعي، والهدف. اجتمعت جهود المنظمين، وعطاء الأطباء، وحماس الطلاب لتجعل من هذه الدفعة فصلًا جديدًا لا يُنسى في إرث تدريب شومان. معًا، يواصلون حمل رسالة تمكين الجيل القادم من الكوادر .

The second wave of Shouman Summer Training (SST) 2025 carried the same spirit of excellence and growth that has defined this program for years. Taking place in the second half of August, it brought together another group of ambitious Mansoura medical students eager to transform their knowledge into hands-on clinical experience. Across various departments, students immersed themselves in real hospital settings, learning directly from professionals and witnessing the realities of patient care, an experience that shapes both skill and mindset.

Once again, SST proved that it’s far more than just a training opportunity, it’s a journey of mentorship, collaboration, and purpose. The dedication of the organizing teams, the generosity of the doctors, and the enthusiasm of the students all came together to make this wave another unforgettable chapter in SST’s legacy. Together, they continue to carry forward the mission of empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals.

لأكثر من عقد من الزمن، كان تدريب شومان الصيفي علامة فارقة في رحلة طلاب طب المنصورة خلال الصيف. فمنذ انطلاقه عام 2011، تطوّر من مبادرة صغيرة إلى واحد من أكبر البرامج التدريبية الطلابية، ليشمل هذا العام 32 قسمًا ومركزًا مختلفًا. يستمر التدريب كل عام في سد الفجوة بين الدراسة النظرية والممارسة العملية، ممكّنًا طلاب السنوات الثانية والثالثة والرابعة من خوض التجربة السريرية بثقة داخل مستشفيات جامعة المنصورة.
هذا البرنامج ليس مجرد تدريب، بل هو إرث من التوجيه والنمو والعمل الجماعي. يقوم على جهود أفراد مخلصين آمنوا برسالته وساهموا في استمراريته عبر السنين. تتقدم الجمعية العلمية لطلاب طب المنصورة بخالص الشكر لأ.د. إيناس الشربيني على توجيهاتها المستمرة، ولأ.د. محمد الحفار على دعمه المحوري في توسّع البرنامج هذا العام، ولأ.د. بسمة شومان على دعمها التأسيسي الذي أرسى أساس هذا الأثر المستدام.
وبكل تقدير، نُخلّد ذكرى د. أحمد شومان ود. مريم فرج، اللذين ما زال إلهامهما يرافق أجيال المتدربين. ولكل طبيب ومدرب وطالب شارك في جعل هذه التجربة مميزة, شكرا لكم.
For over a decade, Shouman Summer Training has stood as a defining part of Mansoura medical students’ summer journey. Since its inception in 2011, it has evolved from a small initiative into one of the largest student-led clinical training programs, now encompassing 32 departments and centres. Each year, SST continues to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world medical practice, empowering 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-year students to step confidently into clinical life within Mansoura University Hospitals.
This program is legacy of mentorship, growth, and community. It thrives thanks to the dedication of remarkable individuals whose belief in its mission has sustained it through the years. MSSA expresses heartfelt appreciation to Prof. Enas Elsherbiniy for her continuous guidance, to Prof. Mohamed El-Haffar for his crucial support in expanding this year’s program and to Prof. Basma Shouman for laying the foundation for its enduring impact.
With deep respect, we also honour the memory of Dr. Ahmed Shouman and Dr. Mariam Farag, whose spirits continue to inspire generations of trainees. To every doctor and student contributed to making this experience unforgettable, thank you.
