هي مجلة دورية مهنية دولية مع توزيع عالمي ومحكمة (مزدوجة التعمية) تصدر عن الهيئة العامة للمستشفيات والمعاهد التعليمية وهي مجلة دورية فصلية حيث تصدر المجلة 4 أعداد سنويا. وتخضع جميع المقالات المقدمة للمراجعة من محكمين معممين والإشراف التحريري ولغة النشر للمجلة هي اللغة الإنجليزية.
بدأت المجلة كجزء من رؤية الهيئة العامة للمستشفيات والمعاهد التعليمية لتحسين الرعاية الصحية في الدول النامية من خلال توفير منصة لنشر البحوث التي يمكن استخدامها لتحسين الممارسة الطبية على المعايير الدولية والمحلية. يغطي نطاق JMiSR مجموعة واسعة من المواضيع الطبية في التخصصات الطبية المتعددة وتضم هيئة التحرير والمراجعة نخبة من الأطباء المشهود لهم محليا وعالميا بالتميز العلمى.
في عام 2018 أصبحت إلكترونية متاحة على الإنترنت، مفتوحة الوصول، حيث المقالات المنشورة ستكون متاحة بشكل دائم على موقع المجلة ليقرأها جميع القراء والباحثين ولعرض وتبادل أحدث المعلومات الصحية والسريرية والطبية عالية الجودة. المجلة مصنفة 7 من 7 في تصنيف المجلات التابع للمجلس للأعلى للجامعات وتستخدم في الترقيات لأعضاء الهيئة العلمية وللجامعات ومراكز الأبحاث والباحثين.
النشر خطوة ضرورية لكل باحث. خاصة وإنه يجلب الشعور بالاعتراف والتقدير لعمل الفرد. وتشجع المجلة الطبية الحوار حول مبادرات الرعاية الصحية الهامة، وتسعى إلى توسيع المعرفة بالقضايا الطبية المحلية والدولية والتقدم التكنولوجي، ونقل معلومات دعم الخدمات السريرية والصحية، وتعزيز علاقات العمل بين مختلف الخدمات ومجالات التخصصات، مع تعزيز الشراكات التعاونية عبر مجتمع ديناميكي.
