General Surgery Department of Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI) was actively involved in the 4th International Conference and Pre-Congress upon the invitation of Prof. Sameh Gabr, Head of General Surgery at Al-Azhar University.
where Pre-Congress Workshop hosted by Al-Azhar University on October 29, 2025.

Prof. Ahmed Abdelaziz, President of TBRI, was invited and served as a Chairperson in the distinguished Hepatobiliary section.
Prof. Hesham El-Meligy, Head of the General Surgery Department at TBRI, contributed significantly to the 4th International Conference and Pre-Congress upon the invitation of Prof. Sameh Gabr, Head of General Surgery at Al-Azhar University.
Prof. El-Meligy presented on:

Tips and tricks of Laparoscopic TEP Inguinal Hernia repair.

A rare case of a Laparoscopic wandering pelvic spleen with a huge cyst.

We also commend the attendance and participation of Dr. Rany Khattab and Dr. Omar Tarek, who represented the TBRI General Surgery Department.
