On World Patient Safety Day 2025, we chose to deliver our message in a practical and direct way.
Patient safety is not only the responsibility of doctors and nurses, it is a journey of awareness where patients and their families walk side by side with healthcare providers.

On World Patient Safety Day 2025, we emphasize that patient safety is not just a slogan — it is a daily responsibility and commitment.
One of the most important steps reflecting this commitment is the application of the RRT (Rapid Response Team) Code for children
This code ensures a swift response in emergency situations. The moment nurses or the medical team notice that a child is at risk or their condition is deteriorating, the code is activated immediately. This means the rapid response team moves instantly to provide the necessary care and save the patient’s life before the situation worsens.
Today’s video is a practical simulation demonstrating how the pediatric RRT code is activated, highlighting the role of every team member and the importance of precision and collaboration at every step.

في اليوم العالمي لسلامة المرضى 2025، بنأكد إن سلامة المريض مش مجرد شعار… دي مسؤولية والتزام يومي.
ومن أهم الخطوات اللي بتأكد التزامنا ده هو تطبيق كود الـ RRT (Rapid Response Team) للأطفال
الكود ده بيضمن سرعة الاستجابة في الحالات الطارئة، بحيث أول ما يلاحظ التمريض أو الفريق الطبي إن الطفل معرض لخطر أو حالته بتتدهور، بيتم تفعيل الكود فورًا. وده معناه إن فريق الاستجابة السريعة بيتحرك لحظيًا لتقديم الرعاية اللازمة وإنقاذ حياة المريض قبل ما الوضع يتفاقم.
الفيديو اللي بنقدمه النهاردة عبارة عن محاكاة عملية لكيفية تفعيل كود الـRRT للأطفال، واللي بيوضح دور كل فرد في الفريق وأهمية التعاون والدقة في كل خطوة.

As part of the celebration of World Patient Safety Day, observed annually on September 17, the Infection Control Department of the General Authority for Healthcare Branch, under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Gouda, Director of the Department, and with the direct follow-up and support of the General Director of Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital and the administrative staff, organized a series of activities.

During the celebration, Dr. Ahmed El-Mallah, Deputy Director of the Branch, honored a distinguished group of medical and nursing staff in recognition of their dedication and efforts in strengthening the culture of safety and quality within hospitals, and ensuring the delivery of safe healthcare services in line with the highest international standards.

This recognition reflects the Authority’s commitment to adopting best practices and policies that place patient safety at the core of the healthcare system, and emphasizes that teamwork is the path to achieving excellence and advancing the quality of services provided to patients.

This year’s celebration comes under the theme:
“Patient safety from the start… Safe care for every newborn and every child.”

It highlights that building a safe healthcare system begins from the very first moment of life, and that protecting patients—especially the most vulnerable—is a shared responsibility for all.






في إطار الاحتفال باليوم العالمي لسلامة المريض، الذي يوافق 17 سبتمبر من كل عام، نظمت إدارة مكافحة العدوى بفرع الهيئة العامة للرعاية الصحية، تحت إشراف الدكتور محمود جودة، مدير الإدارة، وبالمتابعة والدعم المباشر من السيد مدير عام مستشفى شرم الشيخ الدولي وطاقم الإدارة، عددًا من الفعاليات المتميزة.

قام خلالها الدكتور أحمد الملاح، نائب مدير فرع الهيئة، بتكريم نخبة من الكوادر الطبية والتمريضية المتميزة، تقديرًا لعطائهم وجهودهم في تعزيز ثقافة السلامة والجودة داخل المستشفيات، وضمان تقديم خدمات صحية آمنة وفقًا لأعلى المعايير العالمية.

ويجسد هذا التكريم التزام الهيئة بتبني أفضل الممارسات والسياسات التي تجعل من سلامة المريض محورًا رئيسيًا في منظومة الرعاية الصحية، ويؤكد أن العمل بروح الفريق الواحد هو الطريق لتحقيق التميز والارتقاء بجودة الخدمات المقدمة للمرضى.
