The Egyptian Society for Osteoporosis and Geriatrics, ESOG, was first founded in 1999, (as The Egyptian Osteoporosis Prevention Society EOPS, the name was changed recently) as an “NGO” by a group of leading Physicians interested in this disease,

in addition to members from the media, all getting together to increase the awareness among Physicians in different fields of medicine as well as among the healthy & individuals suffering from this Silent Thief which leads to fractures in their bones as its first symptom.
