I'm Karen, 44yrs young and I have breast cancer I was diagnosed 14/10/15. I am married to Wayne, we My mission is to make sure everyone checks their boobs.

I checked mine every day, every shower. One day I noticed the 'dreaded lump', in my right breast, my heart sank, my mouth went dry....I tried to ignore it, but it was still there, I so need to do something, book an appointment with my GP. Then I was on the fast track to breast cancer clinic, just over 2 weeks later I am sat in breast clinic going from one room to another, one test after another...sitting waiting every time for your name to be called....I f**king hate waiting...then back to finally back to consultant...'Hello again, are you alone today'....oh dear me bad news is coming......

Another year around the sun, in the sun, Tenerife you have been amazing l!
It’s taken us 10 years to do this holiday, I’ve always thought I would jinx myself by rebooking this hotel. So have never had the courage to do it, this year, 10 years since we cancelled due my breast cancer diagnosis, we are are having the best time ever. The hotel is stunning, staff are amazing, food is fabulous for all inclusive,just the best!
Another year with my soulmate and the love of my life Wayne Laydon-Harris. Thank you for everything and sharing our lives together.
Here’s to another 10, 20, 30, 40 years around the sun.
Thank you everyone for my birthday wishes and I cannot tell you how much it feels to be 10 years post breast cancer

So, after a long time away and radio silence, Wayne and I are finally going on the holiday we booked over 10 years ago, some of you may recall in the very early days we had to cancel a holiday we were so looking forward too.
A few weeks before we were due to fly, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and our lives changed forever.
We always go away for our birthdays, after much deliberation and the horror of tempting fate, we booked our holiday to the same hotel we had to cancel. After a 10 year long awaited holiday, we fly Sunday and much to our relief, we will finally board that plane and enjoy every second of this holiday.
Cancer can go f**k itself! I will keep going and live my best life, every day is a blessing.😍🥰😍
