Nombre en náhuatl de la cinta roja que se coloca en la cabeza.

El n**o y las puntas que cuelgan simbolizan a OMETEOTL.
En unión y armonía Omecihuatl y Ometecuhtli, lo femenino y lo masculino, aspirando al equilibrio, a la reconciliación de los opuestos, al funcionamiento armonioso de los dos hemisferios cerebrales.

Diversos símbolos están presentes y vigentes en la cultura del Anáhuac, tienen un fundamento, una raíz bien definida.

El color rojo potencializa, da fuerza al área del cuerpo donde se coloca, por lo que se entiende protege.

Cuando la persona conoce su Tonalli, también puede hacer uso del color del viento que le acompaña, como frontil ixcualmecatl.
