Physical practice (asanas) strenghten your muscles and increase flexibility and mobility, and together with meditation (dyana) and breathwork (pranayama), yoga has shown the power to reduce chronic pain as well as stress, improve your mood and your sleep. Research shows yoga has an effect on specific health and well-being indicators, such as lower blood pressure, heart and lung rate, immunsystem and inflammation markers as well as cell health (e.g. telomere lenght) and can even have a therapeutic effect, for example in the treatment of trauma or depression. Therefore, yoga should we available for everyone, for everyone who wants to stay physically and mentally fit and healthy. Unfortunately, some of the people most in the need for yoga, do not have the financial resources to afford a membership in a fancy studio, others might not feel its a suitable place for them. The project of YOGA HOW ITS SUPPOSED TO BE wants to make the practice and teachings of yoga available for everyone, offering non-profit lessons on the basis of a small donation. The lessons are adjusted to all levels, incorporating not only the physical but also other components of philosophy of yoga. ABOUT ME
