Pain has a profound impact on people's lives. Beyond physical discomfort, it can interfere with sleep, restrict mobility, affect mental health, and diminish overall quality of life.

It is estimated that 1 in 5 adults worldwide live with chronic pain — a reality that affects more than 1.5 billion people. But pain is not always chronic. Acute pain, often caused by injury, surgery, or illness, can significantly disrupt daily life. When not properly managed, it can evolve into chronic pain, amplifying its physical and emotional toll.

Alzheimer’s doesn’t just take away memories — it lessens everyday life and autonomy for those living with it. 🧠

Yesterday we marked World Alzheimer’s Day, and at ESTEVE we stand with the World Health Organization () in raising awareness and encouraging early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases like this one.

👉 Alzheimer’s is the most common cause of dementia, a syndrome that already affects more than 55 million people worldwide, with nearly 10 million new cases every year. While age is the strongest risk factor, dementia, including Alzheimer’s, is not an inevitable part of ageing.

👉 Evidence shows that addressing factors like physical inactivity, smoking, or social isolation can help reduce the risk or delay the onset of dementia, giving people more years of quality of life.

Because for us, improving people’s lives starts with understanding, care, and innovation, and building a future where science and compassion walk hand in hand.

Coinciding with European Mobility Week, at ESTEVE we are developing mobility plans to help us identify opportunities to improve the way we travel to and from work.

Our goal is to find ways to promote more efficient and environmentally friendly mobility. This initiative is part of the Environment Care pillar of our Sustainability Strategy and is fully aligned with our objectives to reduce our carbon footprint and promote environmental responsibility.

We continue to explore new ways to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute, through these actions, to promoting cleaner, safer and healthier mobility practices. All this with one goal in mind: to improve our lives and that of the planet. 🌱

With that in mind, on LGTBIQ+ People in Science Day, we at ESTEVE proudly
celebrate the essential role of the LGTBIQ+ community in the field of science
and stand against the stereotypes they continue to face.

We believe that improving people's lives also means fostering an environment
where everyone can be their authentic selves and express themselves freely.
For this reason, during Pride Month, we reaffirmed our commitment to the
LGTBIQ+ community and people care. Moreover, we wanted to shed light on

On February 7th and 8th, we had the privilege of hosting Neurodays, where over 220 professionals gathered to tackle the complexities of Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.

This insightful event brought together 15 esteemed speakers, including clinical neurologists and neuroscience researchers to discuss the latest advancements and critical challenges in the field.
Key topics included:

🔍 Biological Diagnostic criteria and use of biomarkers for diagnosis and staging in Parkinson and Alzheimer diseases
⚙️ Cutting-edge techniques related to Neuroimagingin neurodegenerative diseases
