So far our Parent Seminars on Multilingualism have been so successful both!! We are so much happy and pleased for your participation!

La importancia del lenguaje:

🧠Es la base de la comunicación humana, permitiendo compartir ideas, emociones y conocimientos, lo que moldea nuestra percepción de la realidad y estructura el pensamiento. Además de conectar personas, es un vehículo cultural, socializa, regula comportamientos y preserva la identidad y memoria de los grupos.
❗Ahora, imaginaros si en ese proceso tan importante haya un bloqueo, un hueco vacío, un retraso, algo que impide a que la persona consiga usar su lenguaje de manera fluida.
Es ahí donde intervengo. Es ahí donde muchas personas pequeñas y grandes, por diferentes motivos y causas se encuentran perdidas y necesitan nuestra ayuda.

...¿Pero cuándo deberíamos visitar al/a la neurologopeda?

🧠Motivos principales para acudir a un neurologopeda:

1. Tras un ictus o traumatismo craneoencefálico (adultos).
2. Enfermedades neurodegenerativas (adultos).
3. Disfagia (niños y adultos).
4. Alteraciones del habla (Disartria) (niños y adultos).
5. Pérdida de memoria/atención (adultos).
6. Parálisis faciales o bucales (niños y adultos).

Todo lo anteriormente mencionado y destacado es tanto para adultos como para niños. La mayoría de adultos saben que tienen que acudir a nuestras sesiones tras la sugerencia y derivación en ese caso de su médico familiar o neurólogo.

What about some picture matching?

🧠It helps us quite a lot when we practice our literacy skills.
Phonics and phonological awareness in general are very important when children start to learn how to read.

What is phonological awareness?

🧠It´s the capacity of understanding how the letters sound (phonemes). It is a critical, non-visual skill that serves as a key predictor of early reading and spelling success, allowing children to understand how spoken language is broken down.

🧠It changes the way you feel.
🧠It´s contagious.
🧠It makes you think of nice and fun things.
🧠It makes you share memories, feelings, situations.
🧠It fulfills you with positivism.

Let´s work on that and don´t forget that I also treat any malocclusion which refers to the misalignment or incorrect relationship between the teeth of the upper and lower dental arches when closing the jaws, often described as a "bad bite" and it affects both children and adults. My collaboration with makes it even easier!💪🏼

¡Buenos días!

🧠La comunicación y su significado:

Una de las herramientas más poderosas del ser humano. Es amplia y sirve para todo. Cuando se interrumpe por varios motivos ambientales y/u orgánicos/fisiológicos, entonces tenemos que intervenir para mejorarla, trabajarla y estimularla. Los niños la aprenden desde muy pequeños de manera no verbal hasta que sea verbal.
En nuestras sesiones aprenden a hacerlo a través de varias actividades educativas que les permite usar su comunicación de manera efectiva.💪🏼

Would you like to learn the differences between a Developmental Language Disorder and a language disorder?
There are a few and I´d be happy to share them with you. The parents that visit me and work with me already know how to understand the differences.

So:

🧠DLD (Developmental Language Disorder) is a specific type of language disorder present from early development without a known cause like intellectual disability or autism, whereas other language disorders might be linked to such conditions or acquired later.
🧠Language disorder is a broad term for persistent communication difficulties and can be secondary to another diagnosis.
