When people ask me about nutrition for health or for fat loss (the two most common) I would always say the same thing as number one importance - EAT YOUR VEGGIES!!
1. They are high in fibre which both increases satiety and also feeds the good bacteria in your gut, which is essential for health
2. They are high in vitamins and minerals your body would thrive on
3. They provide antioxidants which will help your immune system, detoxification and and keeping your cells healthy by protecting them from free radicals
4. They provide also hydration
5. They are low in calories and can fill you up easier (less space for the naughty stuff) and slow down the overall digestion of the meal (so you feel fuller for longer)
TOP TIP: the more colours you include, the more different nutrients you have on your plate, so eat a rainbow :)))
